Dhimmitude: the Islamic system of governing populations conquered by jihad wars, encompassing all of the demographic, ethnic, and religious aspects of the political system. The word “dhimmitude” as a historical concept, was coined by Bat Ye’or in 1983 to describe the legal and social conditions of Jews and Christians subjected to Islamic rule. The word “dhimmitude” comes from dhimmi, an Arabic word meaning “protected”. Dhimmi was the name applied by the Arab-Muslim conquerors to indigenous non-Muslim populations who surrendered by a treaty (dhimma) to Muslim domination. Islamic conquests expanded over vast territories in Africa, Europe and Asia, for over a millennium (638-1683). The Muslim empire incorporated numerous varied peoples which had their own religion, culture, language and civilization. For centuries, these indigenous, pre-Islamic peoples constituted the great majority of the population of the Islamic lands. Although these populations differed, they were ruled by the same type of laws, based on the shari’a.

A 45 year old Pakistani Christian man was torched to death by Muslim busnissmen men after he failed to pay on a loan agreement for electrical items.

Ameen Masih a factory worker was burnt alive whilst locked in a room, say numerous witnesses. Four Muslim shopkeepers named Muhammad Usman, Asim Ali, Yasir Bajwa and Shehran are implicated in the murder which took place on Tuesday April 4th 2017. During a two day spree of violence it is alleged that Ameen was also brutally beaten only a day before he was killed by the four men.

Witnesses say that on April 3rd Muhammad Usman, Asim Ali, Yasir Bajwa and Shehran stormed into Ameen’s house and started to beat him viciously using cricket bats and sticks in an attack that was said to have caused fear in the local Christian community where Ameen lived.

After causing severe physical damage Ameen was dragged out of his house during which he could be seen groaning and screaming in pain. The violent attackers screamed profanities and shouted out threats suggesting Ameen would be killed if he reneged again on a loan agreement he had taken out with them.

After Ameen was dragged away he could not be located for the whole day, despite a frantic search by his family, which led to no trace of his whereabouts.

Later that same night the shopkeepers returned and trapped Ameen in his home. It is not known if Ameen was alive or dead at this point but the shopkeepers set his room on fire and locked it.

The four shopkeepers then remained outside the room preventing access to family members and local residents who soon realized a serious blaze was consuming the residence of Ameen and tried to intervene to save his life.

Ameen’s family dialled the national police helpline but the perpetrators managed to escape with the keys to the burning room of his home.

With no option left to them but to demolish a wall to the room residents and relatives of the building eventually broke through. They found that the room was engulfed with heavy smoke and they found Ameen dead.

The police shifted the dead body to the Government Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital in Sialkot for autopsy. His funeral was held later in the evening and he was laid to rest on the same day on April 4, 2017.

Apparently Ameen had bought electronic appliances from Afzal Electronics and Shehran Electronics on installments and had agreed regular monthly payments. The goods he bought were worth a total of 350,000 Pak rupees (£2658). On a contract that he signed Ameen agreed to pay back a monthly installment of 18,000 rupees (£137), but he thought the figure should have been lower. Ameen soon realized he could not keep up with payments and when he tried to return the goods, he discovered that he was contractually obligated to pay the installments and the goods were non-returnable.

Caught in a quandary, Ameen sold the goods ata much reduced rate to that which he paid, tso that he could keep up with the installments. After the money from the sale of the goods was spent Ameen could no longer pay his regular payments and he began to be threatened by the owners of the electronic outlets.

After the police eventually arrived at the scene, they took control of the crime scene and shifted Ameen’s dead body to Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital in Sialkot where an autopsy was to be carried out.

As per Pakistani culture, Ameen’s body was laid to rest that evening.

Police have reportedly arrested Asim Ali, Yasir Bajwa who have obtained a pre-arrest bail while Muhammad Usman and Shehran have fled and are currently in hiding.

The investigating officer in this case has revealed that Shehran’s family have pledged to present him before the police whenever he returns home.

“In 2014 a Christian couple were burned alive for a blasphemy after being accused of a blasphemy (click here), an act that many Muslim’s regard as unforgivable sin.

“Cases of blasphemy are known to stir up a deep-rooted hatred towards Christians and other minorities and those who do not understand Pakistan believe the attacks are instigated by extremists.

“This could not be further from the truth.

“A persons very existence as a Christian places them in a dangerous and vulnerable position in Pakistan. They are pariahs who face the worst bullying, prejudice and persecution. They are the most vulnerable members of society and prone to the whims of sexual and violent predators.

“Acts of violence are expected and death by murder an ever present danger.

Last week a 20 year old man was shot dead for refusing to clean on a Sunday(click here) and this recent killing serve to prove one thing – Pakistan is a nation that no longer tolerates Christians.”
