The Civil Rights Movement Has Been Hijacked

There was a time. The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. called for a time when his children would be judged by their accomplishments and not the color of their skin. His memory is held up as a shining example of how a non-violent movement should be led.

But what happened? Minorities no longer want equality under the law. The movement has been taken over by the far left who don’t want civil rights for everyone. Instead they want to rule and to erase any evidence of the Judeo-Christian culture that brought us the civilization we have enjoyed for hundreds of years in the west.

If you’re a Democrat, and your program is wealth redistribution—with a big cut for yourself as a ruling middleman—it turns out that racism is a much better rationale than inequality for robbing selected Peter to pay collective Paul. Inequality, as New York mayor Bill de Blasio ruefully found, is too fuzzy a cause to fire up most people with righteous indignation, since American liberty has always meant that people free to use their different talents and virtues in their own way will arrive at widely varying outcomes. But racism—oh, racism is the original American sin. It is so obviously, wickedly, unjust as to get the blood boiling in blue states and cities across the land.”

But’Blood Boiling’? That’s not what King stood for. How has the boiling blood manifested itself? Where can we see it? Here are a few instances:

Separate but equal was what the southern Democrats demanded so they could continue their anti-black sentiments.

How sad is that? This young woman fell for the advertising and had her genetics checked. The results shocked and saddened her:

European: 31.5%
East Asian & Native American: 0.6%
Unassigned: 0.6%

Of all the emotions which materialized from the results, the two strongest were disorient and shame. I thought the results would simply confirm what I was told by my family; instead they discredited their allegations.”

Shame. That’s sad. If that is how young people of color react, there is little hope of ever finding what Dr. King hoped for.
