Donald Trump Names New FBI Boss — Christopher Wray

President Donald Trump said he’s going to formally nominate a new FBI director, Christopher Wray — the same guy who was nominated by former president, George W. Bush, as an assistant attorney general in charge of the criminal division.

Wray led up the task force that investigated Enrom while he served with the Department of Justice.

Trump’s naming of him to the post comes just a day before former FBI chief James Comey is due to take the Capitol Hill stand and testify to Congress about his so-called memo-typed memory of his conversations with the president.

It also came just hours before Andrew McCabe, the acting FBI director, along with other leading intel figures, were due to testify to the Senate Intelligence Committee.

On Twitter, Trump said: “I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI. Details to follow.”

Wray’s background includes Yale School graduation, Department of Justice service and a speciality in white collar law and internal invesetigations — something that just might set the inner circle of FBI officials, at least the ones who are loyal to Comey, on edge.

Wray represented New Jersey’s  Chris Christie during Bridgegate, when it was alleged the governor used his high office to take political revenge on a Democratic mayor by shutting key sections of a heavily traveled roadway that was located in his district.
