Friday Night at the Movies

Welcome to the Friday Night Movie and the weekend. Time to relax. A three day work week is always a welcome thing.

I have not had time to do a proper write up due to my missionary work here in the heart of Little Mogadishu. Bebe had a stroke on July 4th. He’s doing okay. I helped him escape from the Hospital a few hours ago. He’s hanging out at the convenience store across the street right now.

Then there’s Roosevelt. I’ve never talked about Roosevelt before. I’ve known him for about 25 years. During that time he has done two different Nine Year Sentences at Florida State Prison. He just got out about a Month ago and he came straight to my house. He is trying to avoid his Probation Officer right now and has required my assistance to get him to a safe hide site.

Just to show you what a small world it is here in Little Mogadishu, in his most recent stay at Florida State Prison, Roosevelt was doing time with one of Bebe’s Sons. One of his Sons just got out and the Son who was doing time with Roosevelt will never get out. Bebe’s Brother just got out and I have had to make last minute runs to get him back to halfway house within 1 minute of curfew.

Being an African Missionary is tough work and there’s rarely a dull moment.

I feel like I’ve been running an Underground Railroad this week. I’m a little exhausted so pardon the brief write-up. This looks like a great movie, so I snagged it.
