The Democrats won three victories against Trump. Really?

The same pundits who last year told us that Trump would be crushed by Hillary Clinton in a landslide, now explain that Trump suffered yesterday a historic electoral defeat, and that it’s the end of Trump.

So let me put the media back where they belongs with the ignorant donkeys, and remind them a few facts that they avoided to mention, without discounting that the Republicans must draw some real lessons.

• Since Trump’s victory, the Democrats have lost all important congressional elections: in South Carolina, Georgia, Kansas and Montana. Mainstream media have “forgotten” to tell you that.
• Yesterday, the Democrats won three elections, in three … Democratic States! They are so desperate that they see this as a miracle!

But let’s look closely at these “victories” as honestly as possible.

New Jersey

New Jersey is a Democratic State. In 2016, Clinton won with a whopping 14 points over Trump, by 55% to 41%. Surprise surprise: New Jersey, which did not like Trump in 2016, still does not like him in 2017.

Chris Christie, the Republican candidate, lost. The opposite would be stunning: he is the most unpopular US governor!

Last April, a survey published by Morning Consult (1) showed that 71% of New Jersey residents disapprove of Christie, while only 25% who agree.

The Democrats chest swelled with pride for having defeated him. With the revelations that Clinton stole the nomination to Senders and that she funded the fake Russian dossier, the Democrats are in disarray, in panic, they lost all self confidence. In a normal year, a win against a competitor hated by 71% of the voters would call for more modesty.

Virginia

The Democratic candidate won 9 points ahead of Ed Gillespie, the Republican candidate. But Virginia too is a Democratic State. In 2016, Hillary won against Trump.

It’s nevertheless important to remember that in 1970, 1% of the population of Virginia was born outside of the United States. In 2016, the figure has increased to 12%. 12% born abroad makes a difference because the Hispanic vote for the Democrats (which is why the Democrats are so opposed to the border wall).

And let’s add something else the media did not tell you: the Democrats released a video where we see Ed Gillespie’s big black SUV ramming Mexican and Muslim children … needless to say that the chilling effect worked. Tell me about hate speech.

However, Clinton won with just five points over Trump, while Ralph Northam is 9 points ahead of his Republican contender.

Who lost? Trump, or the Republicans? Ed Gillespie was not running on the Trump policy, but rather as a traditional Republican. But remember that voters rejected Jeb Bush in 2016.

Gillespie tried throughout his campaign to distance himself from the President. It was only in the last days – too late – that he seemed to move closer, and the President supported him.

But it was not Trump he invited to campaign for him in Virginia, but GW Bush and Marco Rubio.

The Republican Party must learn a lesson here: there is a place in the sun for pro-Trump candidates, less likely for the others, and 12 Congressmen have already decided not to run again in 2018.

New York

I kept this one for the end.

In New York, Bill de Blasio, a far-left Democrat, was re-elected for a second term as mayor. Another nice Democratic victory is not it? Not so fast …

What the media did not bother to tell is that he was elected by 8.5% of the NewYorkers (2)! 78% of the people decided to stay home! (at 78%, my exclamation point is not an overstatement).

• As of July 2016, there were 8,537,673 residents in New York.
• According to the State Election Council, there were 5,053,842 voters by November 1st.
• 4,596,813 of them are considered active.
• Of the nearly 4.6 million active voters, the first counts show that 1,097,846 voted.
• Of this figure, 726,361 people voted for de Blasio: which means that only the activists turned out to vote.
• The number of people who voted for Blasio is not insignificant – but it represents only 8.5% of the New York population.

8 out of 10 New Yorkers did not bother to vote. A beautiful victory indeed. Not a mandate either.
