NFL Attempts to Pay Off Radical Left Players With $89 Million

Now moonbats can promote radical leftism without ever having to get up off the couch. Just find an NFL game on your TV and by watching it, you are helping to make America the kind of place Colin Kaepernick wants it to be. In a pathetic attempt to bribe leftist players into refraining from showily disrespectful antics during the national anthem, the fellow-traveling liberal fools who run the league have let themselves be shaken down:

The unprecedented agreement calls for the league to contribute $89 million over seven years to projects dealing with criminal justice reform, law enforcement/community relations and education.

That is, “issues considered important to African-American communities.” By criminal justice reform, they don’t mean keeping criminals off the streets — quite the reverse.

The payout surpasses the NFL’s contributions to constructive causes such as Salute to Service and Breast Cancer Awareness/Crucial Catch.

What does the NFL get for $89 million? Probably nothing:

The agreement does not include language calling for players to end protests during the national anthem in exchange for funds; there’s no implicit quid pro quo. But the NFL hopes this effort will effectively end the peaceful yet controversial movement that former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started in 2016, when he refused to stand for the anthem.

Give the bully your lunch money and maybe he will leave you alone the next day. Or maybe he will want more lunch money.

Jesse Jackson must be delighted to see his tactics applied so successfully.

The league could simply insist that players show a modicum for respect for their country and their fans by standing during the anthem. However,

League sources also said [Commissioner Roger] Goodell, in particular, believes that fighting for social justice is the right thing to do, which factored into the decision to place no anthem attachments on the partnership.

That is, the people running the NFL side with Colin Kaepernick et al. against fans who think the American flag and those who serve it are worth standing for, even though it is costing them a fortune in terms of diminishing audience.

At this point, I would watch a test pattern before I would watch an NFL game.
