NFL Owner Admits National Anthem Protests Are Killing Attendance

The NFL’s nosedive is so bad that Dick Cass, Team President of the Baltimore Ravens, sent out a letter to season ticket holders pleading for continued support.

In the letter, Cass acknowledges that players displaying disrespect during the national anthem have “been a factor” resulting in low attendance.

In my many personal conversations with Ravens fans in addition to those I’ve interacted with on social media, it’s mentioned repeatedly that “taking a knee” has caused some fans to take a hike. They’ve opted to tune out Ravens games on TV and others have decided not to use the game tickets they’ve already purchased, leaving their seats empty.

The NFL’s fortunes were on the rise until 2 years ago, since which time its audience has fallen by 20%. Although it is disappointing that 80% of the audience continues to watch despite the league supporting overt disrespect for the USA, this represents hundreds of $millions in lost revenue.

If the moonbattery continues, so will the decline, as people discover that there are better ways to spend Sundays than sitting on the couch watching grotesquely overpaid cretins who hate their country play a meaningless game.
