The Golden State Is Becoming a S***hole

In addition to being the most liberal, San Francisco is the second most expensive city in the USA. Yet it is an open sewer:

An NBC Bay Area Investigation reveals a dangerous mix of drug needles, garbage, and feces throughout downtown San Francisco. The Investigative Unit surveyed 153 blocks of the city – the more than 20-mile stretch includes popular tourist spots like Union Square and major hotel chains. The area … is also home to City Hall, schools, playgrounds, and a police station.

The area surveyed yielded 100 drug needles and over 300 piles of feces. That is the legacy of the flower children who descended upon San Francisco in the 1960s, and of the moonbats who have ruled the town since.

“We see poop, we see pee, we see needles, and we see trash,” said teacher Adelita Orellana. “Sometimes [children] ask what is it, and that’s a conversation that’s a little difficult to have with a 2-year old, but we just let them know that those things are full of germs, that they are dangerous, and they should never be touched.”

Kids don’t have to touch anything to be in danger. Inhaling dried feces can lead to potentially lethal airborne viruses like rotavirus.

Dr. Lee Riley is an infectious disease scientist at University of California – Berkeley … Riley believes parts of the city may be even dirtier than slums in some developing countries.

That’s because even the inhabitants of Third World slums will try to make their surroundings livable. Derelicts crap and move on.

No worries; liberals have a solution. They want to spend more public money to make San Francisco a more convenient place to be homeless by providing another 1,000 temporary shelter beds. That won’t reduce the exploding homeless population.

It takes city workers 30 minutes to clean up a single mound of human waste. Unsurprisingly, they aren’t able to keep up. If current trends continue, the Bay Area will eventually become a single mountain of human dung, bristling like a cactus with junkies’ needles.

San Francisco isn’t alone. Take a bike ride through Orange County. This video appears to have been prepared by a moonbat with poor spelling skills, but the footage makes an excellent point — even if it wasn’t the point that was intended. How anyone could see it and want still more unskilled immigrants pouring in from the Third World is beyond comprehension. Yet California remains a sanctuary state, where local officials will not cooperate with the enforcement of immigration law.
