David Hogg Discovers a Love of the Constitution

Following the Parkland killings, we must do something, no matter how needlessly hysterical, preferably something that will cause long-term annoyance. Local authorities found an answer: force students to use only clear backpacks so they can’t smuggle guns, knives, claymore mines, et cetera into school. But there is a problem; this encroaches on the freedom of law-abiding students who have done nothing wrong. So says — wait; swallow that coffee or it will end up on the screen — so says teenage totalitarian David Hogg:

Hogg appeared Friday at a gun control forum with Axios’s Mike Allen, where he complained about new rules at Stoneman Douglas High School requiring students use transparent backpacks. …

“It’s unnecessary, it’s embarrassing for a lot of the students and it makes them feel isolated and separated from the rest of American school culture where they’re having essentially their First Amendment rights infringed upon…”

Young Master Hogg, currently the authoritarian left’s favorite sock puppet for attacking the Second Amendment, doesn’t want our constitutional rights infringed upon. He says it would make his school feel like a prison. Restricting the whole country’s fundamental rights for the sake of his adolescent posturing is okay though.
