The Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Psyop: What’s Really Happening Up There

At the heart of the standoff in Oregon is an ideology, a reactionary, fascist ideology that has nothing to do with freedom, democracy, “liberty” or any of the other cliched talking points being spoon-fed to a couple silver-spooner sons of a multi-millionaire rancher by their publicist. And according to the two ranchers who were sentenced to a couple more years in federal prison for setting fire to a publicly owned wildlife refuge on two separate occasions ( Hardie-Hammond Fire 2001 and Krumbo Butte Fire 2006) , it has nothing to do with them.

“Dwight Hammond has said he and his son plan to peacefully report to prison Monday  as the judge ordered. Through their lawyer, the Hammonds have distanced themselves from the Bundys, according to CBS News. “Neither Ammon Bundy nor anyone within his group/organization speak for the Hammond Family,” lawyer W. Alan Schroeder wrote to Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward, according to the network.” USA Today

The Hammonds are wealthy ranchers in Oregon who lease public lands to feed their business investments. They see these public lands as their own property and a couple years ago two fires were started on these lands for various reasons relating to protecting and increasing their profits.

The government alleged the Hammonds set the range fires to reduce the growth of juniper trees and sagebrush and to accelerate the production of rangeland grasses for cattle feed.

“Fires intentionally set on public lands endanger firefighters and the public,” said U.S. Attorney Amanda Marshall. “The verdict sends an important message to those who think that they are above the law.” Oregon Live, 2012

In 2012, the father and son were convicted by a jury of their peers of arson and according to the law, a five-year mandatory minimum sentence should have been imposed against them. But they argued it was unconstitutional and the trial court agreed and gave them substantially reduced sentences. In 2015, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned that ruling and ordered they serve the required minimum sentences. They are scheduled to turn themselves in this morning.

The Hammonds have a long history of setting fire to public land so they can remake it into fertile grazing land for their profit-generating cows. They did the same thing back in 1999 and the “ebil big gubmint” gave them no more than a slap on the wrist for their actions.

Steven Hammond and his father, Dwight Lincoln Hammond Jr., of Hammond Ranch near Frenchglen were admonished in 1999 by a federal range manager about carelessly setting fires to improve grazing conditions, according to U.S. Attorney Frank Papagni Jr. of Eugene.

“That’s 1999,” Papagni told jurors in his opening statement. “That sets the stage for why you folks are here (in 2012).”  OPB, 2012

Justin Raimondo’s “educated” opinion not withstanding, Arson is a very serious crime. Setting wildfires so your company can make more profits is an extremely selfish and reckless act. Not only do actions like these endanger other nearby residents and their property, but they also put in harm’s way those dedicated firefighters called out to stop the fires.

“We all know the devastating effects that are caused by wildfires.  Fires intentionally and illegally set on public lands, even those in a remote area, threaten property and residents and endanger firefighters called to battle the blaze” stated Acting U.S. Attorney Billy Williams Justice.gov

And of course, that is too say nothing of the protected habitats and the endangered wildlife that were destroyed by the Hammond’s greed.

Let’s briefly take a look at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Let’s see what the glorious Hammond millionaires wanted to destroy so they could feed more cows on public land for free that they could then sell to McDonalds.

“The sedges were full of birds, the waters were full of birds: avocets, stilts, willets, killdeers, coots, phalaropes, rails, tule wrens, yellow-headed black birds, black terns, Forster’s terns, Caspian terns, pintail, mallard, cinnamon teal, canvasback, redhead and ruddy ducks. Canada geese, night herons, great blue herons, Farallon cormorants, great white pelicans, great glossy ibises, California gulls, eared grebes, Western grebes—clouds of them, acres of them, square miles—one hundred and forty-three square miles of them!” Dallas Lore Sharp – 1914 – Lake Malheur Bird Reservation

“The refuge hosts over 58 species of mammals. Ungulates include mule deer, pronghorn antelope and the occasional Rocky Mountain elk. Coyotes are a common sight on the landscape, while bobcats and mountain lions are more elusive. A considerable number of rodents can be found throughout refuge habitats…”

Thousands of people travel to the wildlife refuge every year to study and photograph nature, as it was intended to be. There is even a bird festival in April every year people go to which brings in tourists to the area and helps other businesses support their families. I guess that will take place this year, if the armed “patriots” let them.

The refuge closed now because a handful of armed Bundy supporters have flocked in from parts unknown to “defend” the land from “big gubmint” protections.

And let’s make this also very clear, aside from Raimondo’s bullshit declaration, this photo-op event has nothing to do with keeping the Hammonds out of prison (where they belong)

“In recent statements, the Bundys have de-emphasized the Hammonds, instead focusing on their plan to restore eastern Oregon’s economy by forcing the federal government to hand over federal lands to local ranchers, miners and loggers.” Huffington Post

The Bundy clan has a particular, deep-seated hated of the federal government and it has to do with their Mormon history.

Ever since Joseph Smith “discovered” his golden plates and “seer stones”, the Mormons have been, shall we say, a little on the outs with the feds. I guess when you try to claim as a basis for a new “religion” that Jesus walked again in Missouri somewhere and the native Americans were actually Israelis, you’re going to run into a little friction… kinda like the Scientologists have.

Ammon Bundy is Cliven Bundy’s third son and he seems to be the ringleader of this Oregon uprising. He’s named after his grandfather who also hated “big gubmint” and the name “Ammond” comes straight from the Book of Mormon (we don’t know if he’s mentioned on those golden plates because they are locked away in a mountain someplace in Utah and I personally don’t have any seer stones)

Also from the Book of Mormon, one of the cowboy thugs who have run over to Oregon to “defend” the public lands and hand them over to mining and logging companies, has referred to himself as “Captain Moroni, from Utah”

Moroni (moron?) led an uprising against a king according to LDS scriptures (golden plates) by making himself a flag or something like that. He armed his Nephites and took over, I guess so they could burn some antelopes on behalf of Big Mining Businesses and millionaire ranchers.

Here’s Utah’s new Captain Moroni. He’s a little upset that social media didn’t produce more Nephites for him to lead to victory over big gubmint.

Ammon Bundy and his brother (and apparently some paid ranch-hands from his daddy’s farm) are still saying they are going to occupy the beautiful wildlife refuge until the evil soooOOooOoocialists and statists allow them to hand the whole thing over to Big Business. That’s “liberty” don’t ya know?

Back in early December Ammon explained to a small group of followers that God himself told him that he had to go defend the millionaire arsonist Hammonds from the evil government or they would be “held accountable” for not doing so.

In a little speech he gave in what appears to be a warehouse, still wearing his black cowboy hat, Ammon did his level best to act like he was emotionally torn up by the story as he recalls the ONE NIGHT of research he did on the Hammond case and his visitation from God.

Curious ain’t it? If you know anything about the Mormon religion, you know that only one Mormon is visited by God and given orders… and that one ain’t Ammon Bundy.

As Bundy stated in the little presentation he and his brother gave to the people of the county where they have decided God has told them to stage their final revolution against the Great Evil of the federal government, the Hammonds do not stand with the Mormon Bundy uprising. For that matter, neither do the vast majority of the locals.

Nor does the local community support the militia’s actions. “The majority of Burns does not want him here,” Sarah Spurlock, a Burns resident who interviewed Ammon Bundy on Saturday, told The Huffington Post via Facebook message. “There are a handful that do, but they are few compared to those that don’t.” Huffington Post

Anyone who has read anything on this website knows I have no love for what this country’s leadership has turned into. Congress is a bought and paid for subsidiary of the US Chamber of Commerce and the One Party political system we have in place is quickly becoming a fascist state with every stroke of Obama’s poisoned pen.

That’s why it’s important to see this tiny little token “uprising” for what it is.

Curious isn’t it how these Utah Mormon rebels always seem to show up ready to liberate public lands for private profits under the guise of defending your liberties and the constitution.

If they were so concerned about big gubmint encroachment, you might think they would spend a little time occupying the project was initially known as the Massive Data Repository within NSA. That’s that huge, vastly expensive complex where they store all the information you produce so they can hand it over to Big Business (now that the “Freedom Act” and the new CISPA are enacted) violating your constitutional rights to be secure in your privacy.

The data center is alleged to be able to process “all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Internet searches, as well as all types of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital ‘pocket litter’.”^[7]

I guess Ammon doesn’t want to bother that OBVIOUS government intrusion into our constitutional rights because it’s located in the heart of Mormon country and employs an awful lot of conservative Mormons who are taught early on to not question authority.

Both Hatch and former Utah Republican Sen. Bob Bennett in interviews lauded Utah as having citizens who would be politically more supportive of a data center than some states.

“Utah’s population is not Berkeley or Cambridge,” Bennett said. “You wouldn’t be hiring folks who would be picketed by their neighbors or any of the other kind of problems you might run into somewhere else.”

There is no indication, however, Utah’s conservative politics played a role in the data center coming here. SL Tribune

Of course, it’s not politically correct to say things like that about a certain religion. But, there it is.

And of course, the Bundy Nephites seem to ignore that intrusion into our liberties, so maybe there is something to it.

I guess in the end, all we’re really waiting for is neo-Nazi Ukrainian supporter George Soros to send some Open Society Foundation money Bundy’s way in order to help them stir up a little color revolution in Oregon before they get tired of sleeping on the ground and the Bundy clan goes home to their mansion ranch.

The Nephites haven’t responded to Captain Moron’s call for a revolution against the Great Satan and it looks like the arsonists are going to turn themselves in and let the lawyers work it out.

Maybe we will see our constitutional heroes take on that data center in Mormon country, but I guess we have to wait and see if God tells them it would be a good idea. I’m not holding my breath.

It’s funny what passes for revolution these days, isn’t it?

I just hope they don’t set any more fires on the way out of town. I kinda like animals and birds a hell of a lot more than I like McDonalds hamburgers.
