Fight Back News Service is circulating the following Oct. 13 statement from the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).
The World Federation of Trade Unions, representing 92 million workers in every corner of the world, expresses its solidarity with the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra Musicians in USA and their decision to go on strike to protect their collective contract.
Their demands are fair, they demand better wages, benefits for health care and vacation.
WFTU stands on the side of the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra Musicians and their struggle for job security and better wages. We call them to continue their struggle alongside the workers of the United States until the fulfillment of their demands.
WFTU calls on all trade unions to take initiatives of solidarity with them and send messages of support.
