“Dear Snowflakes,
This lesson you’ve just learned on Election night should have been taught to you a long time ago. Mostly it’s my fault, working two jobs to pay my share of this country’s hand-outs hasn’t left much time to teach those life lessons you need. If you take nothing away from this other than having a sense of loss, betrayal and disappointment you should count yourself lucky. These elections are character-building for your generation.
Hillary will not hand out  participation awards to any of you. You may not realize this, but it’s actually a good thing to experience LOSING. Without defeat you would have gone on to more expectation, more toleration of your childish behaviors. All that is now ending.
Give your own intolerant, hateful views, a real going-over in the near future. Do you know why this election was such a surprise to everyone? One part of it was the hateful speech coming from your peers. Do you think I would put a bumper sticker on my car or sign in my yard just so it can be vandalized or my wife get harassed?
Sorry but you already have me supporting you, since I have to pay for your Mommy and Daddy keeping you on their insurance till you’re twenty six.
Snowflakes it’s time to put down the Xbox, cell phone, Twitter, and Facebook and go out into the world and work. Not for $20 an hour but for $10.25 or whatever the minimum wage is in your state. Get out of your parents’ house and start contributing to society.
Do you have any idea what would happen to the economy if your parents had all the money they spend on you, to actually buy something they want, not just need? Heck that alone would create a demand for jobs that you can fill.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that the learning starts now. It won’t be easy or fun but it will be something you can pass along to your kids. Oh and prepare for that day when you get the wind knocked out of your sails. It will come, probably more than once.
Put your pennies away. That new phone, bigger TV, shiny car, latest game system etc… will be your downfall. Live within your means. That means delayed gratification. You can do it, the world will not end, it just comes into focus.”
