Nov 13, 2016: “A staggeringly strong Magnitude 7.9 earthquake has shattered New Zealand, striking just north of Christchurch on the main island. The quake struck at 6:02 AM eastern US time this morning, at a shallow depth of only ten kilometers. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake registered a shattering “9″ on the Mercali modified Shake Scale, meaning the “perceived shaking” was “VIOLENT” and the probability of Damage was “HEAVY.” There are already reports of structures which have collapsed and people being trapped beneath rubble. Power is said to be out, and roads and bridges are said to be be in serious condition.”
UPDATE 9:04 AM EST: The earthquake in New Zealand was so powerful, it actually has sent shockwaves around the planet and has been recorded by almost all the seismographs in the United States. The American National Seismic Sensor (ANSS) Network shows the New Zealand earthquake on almost every single seismograph inside the USA. This means that earthquakes HERE in the USA are now very likely today into the next few days because the vibrations from the massive New Zealand quake are loosening-up and destabilizing USA fault lines. Expect earthquakes here in the USA.
UPDATE 9:30 AM EST: Here we go. A Magnitude 6.2 earthquake has just struck Argentina in South America, directly due east of New Zealand-but halfway around the planet!
Please inform yourselves, since this is on the Pacific “Ring of Fire” and has already caused a 6.2 magnitude earthquake in Argentina, and possible tsunami warnings for all countries on the Pacific Ocean, including the west coast of the US.
