Miami, FL – On Jan. 20, inauguration day, the people of South Florida will join with people across the country to denounce Donald Trump’s xenophobic agenda. The protest will take place outside of Bayfront Park, in Miami at 6pm.
According to a statement from protest organizers, “Since the election of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States, by 22% of eligible voters, the people of this country have stood up to oppose his ‘Top One Percent,’ agenda. We believe that those in Washington and Wall Street paved the way for Trump’s election.”
The statement continues, “The power to stop Trump from implementing hateful, racist, anti-worker policies rests in the hands of popular people’s movements. That is why we will be in the streets on Jan. 20, as Trump is being sworn in.”
