And this was during the campaign, while Russia was trying to disrupt and tilt the election toward Donald Trump.
WASHINGTON — Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.
American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time that they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said. The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.

LOL… If I had business interests in Russia or friends living in Russia I’m sure one could say I had Russian contact. Problem is that’s a world away from it having anything to do with Trump or his having knowledge of it, or of the Trump campaign acting in a unethical way. How ironic that the paper accusing Trump of this actually did commit nefarious actions against Trump and his campaign and is currently engaged in these actions even now. All we can say is thanks NYT’s for outing your own MO so we can see how dishonest the activities your engage in are. This NYT’s article only gives us more insight into their motivations to discredit and harm Trump.
Psychology 101, those who accuse another of nefarious actions with depth, do so because they themselves are guilty of it. This does not make the person they are accusing guilty, but it does clearly go to showing traits they themselves hold and act upon.
