Christmas Fun: Watch “Collusion Denialist” Aaron Maté Trigger Luke Harding’s Collective Psychosis

Guardian reporter Luke Harding would have you believe that just because there is no evidence that Vladamir Putin is out to get you doesn’t mean he isn’t.

The Russian hacking/collusion story is baseless propaganda. It is a conditioning of the public exercise that has accelerated to the point of creating a sort of mass psychosis. Like when you tell the followers in your cult that the dreaded Feds are on their way to round you all up and take your children away forever in order to get them to drink the laced KoolAid (yes, I know that isn’t what really happened).

Tell the same lie enough times from varied angles and outlets and in the end, it will become a truism that is accepted on faith despite all evidence to the contrary. The more the evidence shows it never happened, the stronger the faith becomes of the true believers that it did. Claims of “heresy” are made. People are labeled “collusion deniers” and “hacking Truthers” in an effort to discredit all those who call the great truth into question.

That is the Russian hacking/collusion story in a nutshell and it has produced a class of Collusion Zombies who are running around promoting this contemporary mythology like the Ziocons promoted the Iraqi WMDs stories back in 2002.

This is something akin to what Chris Hedges wrote about the other day when he wrote “The Permanent Lie, Our Greatest Threat”

“The permanent lie is not circumscribed by reality. It is perpetuated even in the face of overwhelming evidence that discredits it. It is irrational. Those who speak in the language of truth and fact are attacked as liars, traitors and purveyors of “fake news.” They are banished from the public sphere once totalitarian elites accrue sufficient power, a power now granted to them with the revoking of net neutrality. The iron refusal by those who engage in the permanent lie to acknowledge reality, no matter how transparent reality becomes, creates a collective psychosis.” Chris Hedges

Imagine that. I just used Chris Hedges’ words to defend Donald Trump. It is a topsy-turvy world we live in, is it not.

You are not going to witness a better example of this desperate psychosis than the interview Aaron Maté did with Guardian reporter Luke Harding on TRNN.

Harding has a new book out called “Collusion: Secret Meetings, Dirty Money, and How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win” and it is completely baseless and without any merit whatsoever. It’s like a printed version of the last 6 month of the Rachel Maddow show where innuendo, 6 Degrees of Separation connections and “what if” logic replaces actual facts in her never ending quest to gin-up a new form of American McCarthyism 5 nights a week.

During the interview Maté continually asks Harding for evidence and prods him when he makes one logical fallacy after another. This sudden exposure to a real journalist clearly frustrates Harding as he is certainly not used to that kind of behavior from the MSM outlets he’s been doing interviews with recently.

In the end all Harding is left with is telling Maté to go to Russia and talk with the regime change seeking NGOs and opposition candidates and they will tell him how Vladamir Putin hacked and colluded with Trump.

Yes, I suppose that is pretty much the only true statement Harding made in the entire interview.

What’s interesting here beyond watching this establishment hack posing as a journalist (Harding) twist in the wind is just how ingrained into his psyche the demonization of Putin really is. And I have too say it is a detriment to the overall quality of the interview when Maté continues to parrot the official mantra that “he certainly doesn’t support Putin or what he is doing in Russia”

Folks all have too say that in the media world or they feel they risk being hit with the label of “ideological sedition”

In truth the hatred of Russia and Putin specifically is rooted in their opposition to several of our recent regime change operations namely Ukraine and Syria. The Greater Kurdistan project was massive in scale and import and the thwarting of it was a major set-back for major financial interests in the world, some of whom may in fact be donors to media outlets like TRNN.

At one point in the interview Harding becomes so frustrated he calls Maté a “collusion denialist” (variation of “climate denier”) stating he would never accept any proof that Putin did these things no matter how iron-clad it is. It’s a nifty way of dismissing those of us (a growing segment of the population by the way) who want to see real evidence of something before we jump on board the regime change train.

Maybe Iraq taught a few of us that.

The interview is interesting because what you see here is more than just an establishment apologist trying desperately to sell his useless book. You’re watching a man who suffers from a delusion fight desperately to maintain it in the face of reason. And that is a fascinating process as it plays out because at one time you would see someone like this defending whatever fringe mythology he supported and make jokes about this tiny little group of deluded individuals but with this interview you have to keep in mind that Harding represents the establishment and that is a very troubling disclaimer to keep in mind.

Of course, back in 2002 the proponents of the Iraqi WMD story had the same difficulty when they went up against a real journalist. Their collective psychosis went into overdrive as well as folks like Scott Ritter and Phil Donahue were told in no uncertain terms to just “shut up” while the drums of war were beating from on high.

Its a fascinating interview and I highly recommend you take the time to watch it. It’s humorous, it’s depressing, it’s gratifying watching the little weasel squirm and twist as he tries his best to avoid reason and logic to make his case.

You should watch it because now that Google and Facebook and Youtube are censoring anti-war messages on the internet and now that the ISPs hold the keys to the kingdom in the absence of net neutrality rules, chances are, in a year or so, you wont be able to watch videos that call into question the permanent lie anymore.

Unfortunately for Mr. Harding here, we haven’t gotten to that point yet… so you might as well enjoy it while you can. You can always slip into the collective psychosis later.
