Snowden and Assange are Heroes, not Traitors

I am very skeptical about the National Security Agency (NSA), which gathers confidential personal information on us ordinary citizens, yet they did not know about the terrorist Tsarnaev brothers.  They should be snooping into terrorists and suspected terrorists, not snooping into the privacy and private lives of ordinary American citizens.  They ignore our Fourth Amendment rights.

If it were not for NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, we would never know the shenanigans the NSA is pulling on us citizens.  George Orwell’s 1984 conditions are here today.  By our tolerating a little security at the expense of our civil liberties, it will soon result in no liberty at all for all of us.  If we can trust our government, that would be one thing.  However, with all of the extensive dirty tricks our government has committed over the past five years, it is no wonder we cannot trust our government.

Someone said that the two Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents who had interviewed the Tsarnaev brothers accidentally fell to their deaths from an in-flight training helicopter.  This tragedy had occurred some 10 miles out at sea in the Atlantic Ocean a few months after the Boston Marathon bombing!  That sounds like the actions of a corrupt government.

As a patriotic American, normally, I would consider Julian Assange (of WikiLeaks) and Edward Snowden (whistleblower of NSA scandals) as traitors.  However, because of all of the shenanigans, corruption, lies, cover-ups, violation of our civil liberties, and illegal activities going on in our federal government today, I have lost all trust and faith in our government and so-called leaders.  Consequently, I consider Assange and Snowden as true whistleblowers, not traitors.  Without the knowledge of what they have revealed to us, we would be merrily going along today unaware of what this corrupt government is doing to us, the Constitution of the United States, and our beloved country.

Sure Assange and Snowden could have gone through the proper channels to express their concerns and complaint.  However, do you know what happened to the Benghazi-gate whistleblowers?  They were relieved of their duties, reassigned to desk jobs in obscure places, and their careers were ruined.  Hence, why should any whistleblower desire to be screwed going through the proper channels?  I once worked for a prime contractor that did work for the government.  I saw some mischarging of non-chargeable time to the contract.  I went to my boss to report the problem.  To make a long story short, the bottom line is that they ended screwing the messenger, i.e., me!  I lost my job.  Nice guys.

I do not trust the government.  I do not trust prime contractors.  They are in a symbiotic relationship with each other.  They comprise the Government-Industrial Complex.  Do you remember when President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us about the Military-Industrial Complex?  President Eisenhower served a long career in the military where he retired as a four-star general of the U.S. Army.  He knew best about the Military-Industrial Complex.  Today, we have the Government-Industrial Complex, which we should fear as much as the Military-Industrial Complex.  I had worked for government prime contractors for over a quarter century.  Hence, I know about the Government-Industrial Complex.

Therefore, under today’s political environment, I see absolutely no reason for anyone going through the proper channels to bring to the attention of the media/press and the American people the corrupt things going on in government.  The governmental leaders never ever get the real culprits.  They always find some lower-level scapegoat to throw under the proverbial bus.  Furthermore, the errant media/press maintains a hidden political agenda.  Instead of protecting the people as they should, they protect a political party and a political philosophy.  What is wrong with that picture?

The symbiotic relationship of our corrupt mainstream media/press (which I call the lame-stream media, LSM) and our corrupt government forms the despicable Media-Government Complex.  Therefore, I consider all whistleblowers as great patriots and great Americans to respect and support instead of to arrest, try, and imprison or execute for their revelations and disclosures of government corruption.  At this point, I consider them as political prisoners.

If you want real traitors, look no farther than the White House.  The President of the United States (POTUS) directed the Navy SEALs to invade Pakistan and destroy Osama bin Laden (OBL) without first reading him his Miranda Rights just as the CIA reads rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield.  The Executive Branch of government had released Top-Secret information to the public as quickly as they could after the POTUS had assassinated OBL.  Our enemies greatly appreciate such classified information, which included the names of SEALs.

A few weeks later, a number of the Navy SEALs died in a fiery helicopter crash in Afghanistan in what appears to have been revenge committed by al-Qaeda warriors.  Furthermore, the POTUS unilaterally decided to assassinate American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki with a Predator Drone missile without first reading him his Miranda Rights.  The POTUS also gave the NSA permission to spy on the heads of state of our major European allies.  That, in and of itself, is a traitorous act.  To think, this POTUS had won the Nobel Peace Prize 12 days after he took office.

If you want to find traitors in the press, look no farther than The New York Times, which has published classified Secret information on a regular basis.  If you want traitors, look no further than James Clapper, the director of national intelligence (DNI).  Clapper had lied to Congress when he denied that the NSA was gathering information on hundreds of millions of American citizens.  Just his body language alone on national television proved to everyone watching that he was lying through his teeth on the spot.  I am embarrassed to say that Clapper is a retired three-star general in the USAF.

All of those politicians and LSM talking heads who are calling for the execution of Snowden as a traitor are the real traitors to the American people.  They are all supporters of our corrupt government.  When we finally straighten out our country, the American people should hang those people as the real traitors!  Remember, the British crown considered our nation’s Founding Fathers as traitors because of the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War.  In the end, today, we consider them as real patriots.  Snowden and Assange are also real patriots.
