Rapper Killer Mike (left) told Colion Noir, host of the NRA Freestyle web series “NOIR,” that the gun control movement is not progressive, but is “going to progress us right into slavery.”

Rapper “Killer Mike” is warning that some progressives are going to “progress” people right into slavery with their attempts to destroy the Second Amendment. He made the comment during an interview with Colion Noir, host of the NRA Freestyle webs series, “NOIR.”

‘What are you marching for?’

“So I have to ask,” Noir said, referring to the weekend’s student marches. “What are you really marching for? Because where I’m standing, it looks like a march to burn the Constitution…”

Noir and Killer Mike started off their discussion by saying the Parkland, Florida, massacre and the loss of 17 lives was “tragic.” About 200,000 students and their supporters marched in Washington, D.C., Saturday to call for tighter gun laws and prevent future school violence.

Noir, who is also an activist and an attorney, went on to say that it’s ridiculous for people to claim gun owners have no empathy and care only about the Second Amendment. He said both sides have empathy, but “disagree about how we want to save these kids’ lives. But somehow, since my method doesn’t agree with your method, I’m a monster.”

Killer Mike, whose full name is Michael Render, agreed, saying: “That’s unfair.”

“If there’s a table to be sat at, the gun owner needs to be there,” said Render, who is also an actor and activist.

Render said the gun control movement is not progressive, but is “going to progress us right into slavery.”

“Slavery exists according to the Thirteenth Amendment,” Render said.

“The same people who are telling you we need to abolish the Second Amendment,” are not worried about the Thirteenth Amendment, Render said.

‘What is an ally?’

“That begins to be my question,” he continued. “What is an ally? Because an ally is not necessarily a friend. Right? It’s not fam. We have a mutual interest in something that progresses us both. Why are your allies not fighting your other fights?”

Render said he jokingly told his children on days of students marches against guns that if they walk out of that school, “walk out of my house.”

“It’s simple,” Render said. “We are a gun-owning family. We are a family where my sister farms. We are a family where we’ll fish. We’ll hunt. But we are not a family that jumps on every single thing an ally of ours does. Because some stuff we don’t agree with.”
