Family Videotapes ‘Christmas Ghost’ On Cell Phone

A family from Claypool, Indiana [map] claim to have captured a “sweeping ghost” through a cell phone. The family posted the video online, calling the sighting the “Ghost of Christmas Past.”

The family is saying that if you enhance the contrast and lighting, you can make out the “woman” sweeping the livingroom floor near the Christmas tree. They are further claiming that the ghost resembles a relative of theirs.

Now, when I look at the video I can barely make out jack crap. Yes, I see an odd moving blob. However, it’s a stretch to say the figure looks like someone sweeping the floor.

So how the family is seeing a woman is beyond me. And then to take the next leap and presume the figure is the ghost of a relative? It seems beyond speculative.

I suppose this illustrates something frustrating about all “evidence” of an afterlife (or lack thereof). Videos and EVPs and other such evidences easily become a bit like seeing animals and people in the clouds. It becomes an imagination game, and we all tend to see what we want to see.

Of course, some people are more prone to “see what we want to see” than others. But I think we are all subject to this form of bias than others.

A ghostly image appeared in a cell phone video taken in one family’s home.

Two young boys who are twins were filming their Christmas tree when they notice the image of a woman sweeping on their phone.

Family members said the boys said they couldn’t see the image with the naked eye, but just through the phone.

This video was shot on a Verizon flip phone just one week ago in Claypool.

The family does not want to reveal their location for privacy reasons, but wanted to share the video to get a clearer image of what they are calling the Ghost of Christmas Past.
