Did HPI Get Their Own TV Show?

I took a look at the video clip and treatment, and after discussing with the team, unfortunately this is a pass. Ghost hunting/monster hunting groups are very difficult for us these days, as we already have a number of shows in this space. Without some new, big, different hook, it’s hard to see how this group would expand on what we have with TAPS, Josh Gates of Destination Truth, or the Fact or Faked team and what they are doing. It’s a pass for us now, but certainly if you come up with a format that makes the show different, I’d be happy to take another look.

MESSAGE FROM PAUL DALE ROBERTS:
I am still very honored that a major network would consider giving HPI a TV Show. The show would have been called ‘Paranormal Rapid’. Another name that was considered is ‘The Seekers’, but Paranormal Rapid won out; because what made us unique from many other paranormal groups is that we produce the evidence on the spot. We conduct 3 – 45 minute investigations with an evidence briefing after each investigative session. The occupants do not have to wait 2 weeks or a month for their evidence. The occupants actually get to participate in the investigation and see what we do. This is why they wanted to call the show ‘Paranormal Rapid’, but there was a problem, the SyFy Channel wanted to center more on monster hunting. It would be very difficult to produce the evidence rapidly if we were monster hunting. Would we have a baby Bigfoot hogtied within a 45 minute investigation?

Even though HPI has done some considerable amount of monster hunting, there is no way we can compete with the Destination Truth team. I can only afford one international trip a year for monster hunting and there are just not enough monsters around in my own backyard.

All we can do is strive and become the best of the best. I want to thank Howard Nash – New York Independent Movie Producer for pushing the hell out of this. Howard gave his all in trying to get HPI a TV show. I am gracious for your efforts Howard. I am truly humbled from this experience.

We are being considered as guests for other paranormal TV shows and right now we are working with two producers that are interested in having us on their shows for one episode each.

This was a wonderful experience and Godspeed to the many paranormal groups that work hard to be where they are at. We can all learn from each other. Thank you for all of your support! Thank you for showing the LOVE!
