The Mental Manhattan Project

For the first time in Ground Zero history, a radio show dealing with numbers stations has sparked a debate about the origins of most data transmissions and the idea that there are people who are among us that are constantly being bombarded with electronic frequencies or are being electronically harassed.

The Ground Zero broadcast, featuring Olav Phillips and his theory about a data stream that could be heard over a Voice of Korea broadcast, has been talked about in blogs and many radio operators believe that there is no solid way of knowing where the data stream is coming from and has traced the Spanish speaking numbers station to Cuba.

Radio enthusiasts argue that what is being heard is the data stream from the Cuban station HM01. We heard the transmission of the Spanish numbers and realized that perhaps we were hearing bleed over from several frequencies.

In the meantime, I received an e-mail from a listener who had told me that much of what I was playing on the air reminded them of electronic signals that are transmitted directly into the brain or are heard out of devices in the home.

A voicemail was left on my phone in my office from yet another person who was saying that what I was broadcasting was similar to HAARP bursts that send messages to what are known as T.I.’s (Targeted Individuals.)

To my knowledge I have never really taken a serious look into the phenomenon known as electronic harassment or synthetic telepathy. Much of what is said by those who are harassed sounds very much like a schizophrenic episode however brain to skull transmissions or transmissions of messages through typical objects sound amazing and quite crazy. I have been sent all kinds of interesting sounds that have not been beamed directly into the skull but are heard in rooms and even outdoors that are remarkable.

Many of these sounds are similar to the numbers stations and shortwave transmissions while other sound similar to the ghostly EVP or electronic voice phenomena that are heard during most ghost hunts or paranormal outings.

The sounds and the microwave messaging is usually accompanied by something called gang stalking where the victims are not only being harassed electronically, they believe they are being followed. Many victims believe that this is part of a surveillance harassment operation and possible psychological operations tactic.

While much of what is being reported on the Internet is a basic nurturing of mentally ill paranoid delusions, electronic harassment accompanied with stalking has been documented and there are a few cases that have been very high profile.

Concerns about microwaves, V2K (Voice to Skull technology) and mind control date to the 1960s, when the U.S. government discovered that its embassy in Moscow was being bombarded by low-level electromagnetic radiation. In 1965, according to declassified Defense Department documents, the Pentagon, at the behest of the White House, launched Project Pandora, top-secret research to explore the behavioral and biological effects of low-level microwaves.

For approximately four years, the Pentagon conducted secret research: zapping monkeys, exposing unwitting sailors to microwave radiation and conducting a host of other unusual experiments.

They were sub-projects of Project Pandora and were titled Project Bizarre. The results were mixed, and the program was plagued by disagreements and scientific squabbles. The “Moscow signal,” as it was called, was eventually attributed to eavesdropping, not mind control, and Pandora ended in 1970. And with it, the military’s research into so-called non-thermal microwave effects seemed to die out, at least in the unclassified realm.

In 1976, as the United States was celebrating its bi-centennial year, U.S. Intelligence was monitoring radar and electromagnetic signals from the Soviet Union. What had their attention was a pulsing signal that was being sent at 3.26 and 17.54 megahertz. The pulsing signal modulated at a rate of several times a second, resembling the sound of a woodpecker. It was soon traced to an enormous transmitter array near Kiev in the Ukraine.

Within a year of its discovery, people in Canada, Washington State and Oregon were complaining of all kinds of maladies. Eugene, Oregon suffered the most. People complained of pressure headaches, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, lack of coordination, and numbness, accompanied by a high-pitched ringing in the ears.

No one had really thought of the possibility that strong electromagnetic microwave radiation could have caused these symptoms. However, residents between Eugene and Corvallis, Oregon were being subjected to a powerful radio attack with a signal centering at 4.75 Megahertz.

People were claiming to hear tones in their ears and later feeling sick and fatigued. There were unsubstantiated theories that were taken as fact as to what was causing these health problems. One such theory was that winter damaged power lines were emanating frequencies and tones to the ultra sensitive ear.

It was later realized that something nefarious was happening with the so-called ‘Woodpecker signal‘. It was being targeted to Oregon by a by a Tesla-magnifying transmitter.

This technology was able to beam a radio signal through the earth to any desired point on its surface. It could even increase the signal’s power as it emerged from the earth. It was speculated that a Navy ELF communications system using an 850-mile power line was jamming a Soviet pulse signal.

Back then the systems were new and their power was obviously capable of harming human nervous systems and brain function.

One of the most infamous numbers stations broadcast was recorded in 1993 during the Communist coup against Boris Yeltsin. It was an ominous repeating of the number 5 or p’yat. The number had repeated for hours. I suppose it is not surprising that many of the numbers stations heavy traffic broadcasts are coming from Korea. The traffic increase in numbers transmissions are now between Seoul and Pyongyang. Chances are before North Korea broke the cease fire there was an increase of traffic then.

One thing that these numbers stations do is allow spies or agents blend in with the average person. The idea that crackdowns and measures at the airports by the TSA or border surveillance does any good to keep unwanted spies or terrorists out of the country is completely without merit. We are being watched, studied and, at times, manipulated by skilled foreign operatives, and U.S. counterintelligence efforts face serious challenges in keeping up with the spy threat. When Homeland Security says that they are hearing chatter about possible terrorist threats all they are hearing is the number station frequencies sending off random numbers that may or may not be the code numbers for detonating a dirty bomb or blowing up a shopping center.

Signals and broadcasts are constantly being received within our borders. One of the more infamous cases here in the United States involved an unfortunate incident of mistaken identity with former CBS news anchor Dan Rather In 1986, Rather was chased, pummeled and kicked on a Manhattan sidewalk by a well-dressed man who kept asking, “What’s the frequency, Kenneth?”

The man turned out to be William Tager who is now in prison for shooting an NBC stagehand. Tager told his psychiatrist that he thought the news media was beaming signals into his head. Apparently, one of his obsessions was to find out the frequency of the signals.

There was a report later that during this time there actually were signals being sent out by the CIA to track Russian submarine coordinates. Perhaps Tager was hearing the numbers in his head. The incident happened as the United States was helping Afghanistan fight the Russians.

William Tager allegedly crashed an ultra-light home-built aircraft. He suffered head injuries and doctors put a metal plate in his skull before he started hearing the signals.

In another documented case, De-Kieu Duy walked off the street into the Triad Center in Salt Lake City wearing a parka and carrying a bag of bullets. She had a 9 mm handgun and began shooting up a local television Station. She randomly fired at anything that moved. She kept hearing voices in her head it was reported. The woman was mentally ill and was sold a handgun.

Something triggered the rage. After it was over she was calm and was escorted to a police car. She left several shaken, two injured and another dead. She complained that Hollywood film crews stalked her. So did a conspiracy of local television and radio stations. The government was involved, too.

She claimed that she had been stalked and that she was receiving private messages beamed directly into her skull from KSL television. She also said that she was overhearing cell phone conversations in her brain.

While these are extreme cases there are also others who report that they have had experiences where they feel that all electronic appliances they come in contact with malfunction. Many people report power losses, computer shutdowns, soft drink machines malfunctioning and overhead street lamps turning off at night when they approach.

People have also reported a sort of electronic “gaslighting” where lights fade and then brighten and settings of heat and appliances adjust on their own.

In 2007, Advertising Age reported that a television show on A&E called ‘Paranormal State’ had created a billboard in Manhattan’s Times Square that used a technology called ‘audio spotlight’. When a passer-by would step into ‘target zone’ of the billboard, they would hear a voice – inside their head – saying “Who’s there?” or “It’s not your imagination.” This is a rather benign seeming example, but it helps to point out just how pervasive this technology is becoming.

The CIA’s MK ULTRA hearings, which were held in the 70′s, revealed the existence of secret mind control experimentation programs being conducted by the government. After the hearings, the CIA officially abandoned these programs. However, many people are now reporting a variety of effects and abuses consistent with multiple reports of unwarranted surveillance and privacy abuses conducted by the CIA, FBI and the NSA. Because of the secrecy, new telephone wire tapping, surveillance laws and lack of congressional oversight during the intervening decades, the research and development of mind control and surveillance technology have advanced far beyond what most Americans would imagine.

Until recently, people who believe the government is beaming voices into their heads have been isolated cases. But now, many have discovered hundreds, possibly thousands, of others just like them all over the world. Web sites dedicated to electronic harassment and gang stalking has popped up in India, China, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Russia and elsewhere. Victims have begun to host support meetings in major cities.

The biggest hurdle for the targeted individuals is getting people to take their concerns seriously. “A proposal was made in 2001 by Rep. Dennis Kucinich to ban “psychotronic weapons,” but the bill was widely derided by bloggers and columnists and quickly dropped.”

Before you dismiss any of these allegations, it is important to know that an academic paper written for the Air Force in the mid-1990s mentions the idea of a weapon that would use sound waves to send words into a person’s head. “The signal can be a ‘message from God’ that can warn the enemy of impending doom, or encourage the enemy to surrender.” In 2002, the Air Force Research Laboratory patented precisely such a technology: using microwaves to send words into someone’s head.

LRAD technologies have been called “The Voice of God” where technology can be used to simultaneously beam a message into minds of the enemy using ultra low frequency.

The Air Force released unclassified documents about a 2002 patent based on human experimentation in October 1994 at the Air Force lab, where scientists were able to transmit phrases into the heads of human subjects, albeit with marginal intelligibility. Research appeared to continue at least through 2002.

It is also known that “Synthetic telepathy” is also part of a study in how to conduct futuristic warfare that include microwave attacks on human targets. These methods are listed in the National Defense Industrial Associations paper about “Future Strategic Issues.”

Extremely low frequencies and microwaves can cause agitation in humans and frequencies have been known to cause sickness and eventual deaths are a matter of record.

Mind control through sounds wave technology would be the ultimate non lethal weapon. We have seen the reaction in people when a microphone or guitar has feedback. Imagine a sustained feedback wine that pulsates for nearly an hour.

There are many times where we hear things that keep us awake at night. A loud cricket chirping or a barking dog. Those are little annoyances that often plague us. However, can you imagine an intentional bombardment of microwaves pulsing and being aimed directly at you?

The evidence seems to suggest that this synthetic telepathy psy-ops technology exists and it can be used for the purpose of creating some event where a mass reaction would take place. An event where we are all convinced that we have heard a message or have seen a vision.

This would be the ultimate mind game where the entire nation has inserted into their consciousness and event that never happened but has left an indelible mark on the collectible memory.

No wonder science wants to map the brain.
