Patriot Act Expires: National Security’s Russian Roulette

PATRIOT ACT EXPIRES
NATIONAL SECURITY’S RUSSIAN ROULETTE

When the programming of a nation is so proficient it is difficult at times to break through it. Giving the indication that you wish to break that programming gets you all sorts of criticism. Mainly because there are a number of very vocal people who use selective hearing and in doing so feel that there is a threat to their cognitive resonance.

Their comfort zone has been violated, their normalcy bias has been challenged and soon there is either a great amount of stone walling or furious anger which proves the point to some degree that Americans can be volatile when facing changes that trample on their core beliefs.

The inducing of rage, compiled with fear is somewhat responsible for the rejection of common sense these days. It has provided some surprising attitudes that 30 years ago would not even be considered as American thought. It would be seen as leaning toward Nazi Philosophy or even State Socialist philosophy.

The media projects a bias authoritarian view on matters and pushes the programming of cynicism and a bit of rage against party lines. They also breed mistrust amongst religious groups and also race baiting is a great sport amongst the major networks.

Much of what we see play out in both independent and mainstream news sources is the exposure of the deep divides we have as Americans.

Many years ago we may not have even thought about it, today it is something we are programmed to think about constantly.

We have been told that as a nation a nebulous “They” hate us for our freedom. We are told that “they” are waiting in the wings to attack us. We are also told because they are some phantom faceless group that hides among us that it is the government’s responsibility to protect us even if the government has to take steps that are unconstitutional.

The Patriot Act, as some of you well know, has been used over the last 14 years as a catch-all law, allowing the [subversive] mass collection of personal data and other records, most often times without the knowledge of the people involved. These are not terrorists; not dangerous insurgents. More times than not, these are ordinary people.

The Patriot Act is set to expire unless it can be renewed by Congressional vote. While one would hope that Congress would think of our liberties enough to undo this Act out of principle, the truth isn’t as promising. In fact, hardly anyone is talking about it.

Provisions provided by the Patriot Act, including but not limited to Section 215, allow for subversive mass surveillance of telecommunication records, metadata, personal phone calls and messages, and even pictures sent through the web or cellular device.

These things are in direct violation of the liberties provided to the American people by the Constitution.

Everyday there is something in the news that screams sanctions or restrictions of liberty or the continued rise of a Militarized police force.

Even though the patriot acts one and two are likely to lapse President Obama has let the American people know how he feels about constitutional rights.

President Barack Obama last Tuesday urged the Senate to renew National Security Agency surveillance powers before they expire at midnight Sunday, as Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul vowed to keep working to block the Patriot Act and the bulk collection of Americans’ phone records.

Obama called on the Senate to approve a House-passed bill that would change the phone record collection program while renewing less controversial Patriot Act provisions that also expire at the end of the month. The Senate rejected the House bill by three votes last weekend and is on a break until Sunday, just hours before the spying powers are scheduled to expire.

Obama said reauthorizing the surveillance efforts is “necessary to keep the American people safe and secure.”

So… let’s ponder the idea that the provisions in the patriot act lapse what would probably happen then?

The cynical side and the conspiratorial side in me is screaming loudly that there would have to be a reminder sent out to the American people of just how important the Patriot act is, maybe even going as far as planning out a “false flag attack.”

Now I have precedent to state such an outrageous claim because I have been noticing some strange news headlines that the mainstream only skimmed over, but are strange none the less and point to a possible planning exercise that is either in the works or has failed.

Following the discovery that 22 shipments of live anthrax had been sent over the past year to private labs and a U.S. military facility in South Korea, a lab in Dugway, Utah, where the samples originated is now backing up and investigating the shipments and how some of the anthrax was sent to other parts of the world.

Since the first reports of the live anthrax being sent to 9 states, the military is now saying there were also live shipments of Anthrax sent to Australia back around 2008 or 2009.

You may remember that, weeks after the attacks of 9/11, letters laced with Anthrax were sent, killing 5 Americans in what the FBI calls the worst Biological attack in United States History.

Meanwhile there has been a growing investigation that is spreading across the United States and overseas to Osan Airbase in South Korea.

Was this a failed false flag attempt at a biological attack, how could the pentagon be so sloppy let alone Dugway proving grounds which is considered one of the most secure biological holding facilities in the world?

Meanwhile Pamela Geller the outspoken hater of Islam attempted to place a Muhammad cartoon ad on buses and in train stations across the nations’ capital.

The mass transit authority that oversees commuter buses and trains in the nation’s capital is banning issue-oriented ads for the remainder of the year after receiving an ad proposal featuring a cartoon of Muhammad, Islam’s central figure.

The cartoon is a sketch by artist Bosch Fawstin of a turban-wearing, sword-wielding man saying “You can’t draw me!” It won a “draw Muhammad” contest in Garland, Texas, that was unsuccessfully attacked by Muslim-American would be terrorists earlier this month.

The ads would have sported a banner saying “Support Free Speech.”

However could the ads or would have the ads sparked enough outrage to create attacks on major cities in America by angry or radicalized Muslims? The chances would have been in the favor of the attacks knowing Pamela Gellar’s track record and her uncanny ability to stir up hatred while hiding behind the first amendment.

Luckily these actions have not grown into full on terror bait; however there seems to be a number of representatives that are saying that if we let the patriot act expire then we are playing National security “Russian roulette.”

Anymore the American experience can easily assume that as a threat. That if the patriot act does expire we will be without protection and therefore sitting ducks for a terror attack.

Last week, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) credited the Patriot Act with helping to prevent a terror attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The “attack” Boehner is referring to was completely manufactured by the FBI. It was never a real threat.

Glen Greenwald in his piece “Latest FBI Claim of Disrupted Terror Plot Deserves Much Scrutiny and Skepticism” states:

The “war on terror” is the best thing to happen to power hungry politicians since a fire of questionable origin destroyed the Reichstag building in Berlin on February 27, 1933. Not only does the “war on terror” represent big business for shady crony capitalists, it gives politicians, i.e., professional authoritarians, an excuse to destroy civil liberties and implement a total surveillance system to ensure the plebs don’t get out of line.

Nearly every major post-9/11 terrorism-related prosecution has involved a sting operation, at the center of which is a government informant.

In these cases, the informants — who work for money or are seeking leniency on criminal charges of their own have crossed the line from merely observing potential criminal behavior to encouraging and assisting people to participate in plots that are largely scripted by the FBI itself. Under the FBI’s guiding hand, the informants provide the weapons, suggest the targets and even initiate the inflammatory political rhetoric that later elevates the charges to the level of terrorism.

Obviously no one in the mainstream media questioned why Boehner decided to outright lie about this particular case in order to maintain surveillance powers, but of course others eat it up without verifying or questioning just who is conducting false flag attacks on American soil.

The FBI said it relied on Twitter messages and an undercover source to gather information about the suspect, Christopher Cornell — not wiretaps or call records. Boehner told reporters there was more to the story, but declined to get into details.

Yes the “more to the story” includes that he is a liar and does not care about the constitution. Boehner’s argument comes down to “we can’t tell you why we need to spy on you, but trust us we do.”

Mass surveillance under the Patriot Act is so awful that even its author says that the NSA has gone far beyond what the Act intended (and that the intelligence chiefs who said Americans aren’t being spied on should be prosecuted for perjury).

Specifically, the government is using a “secret interpretation” of the Patriot Act which allows the government to commit mass surveillance on every American.

So it’s a good thing that the Patriot Act may expire, but don’t get too excited …We may have many close calls and false flags to deal with before it expires… or perhaps afterwards they will conjure up some threat so that they can say “we told you so” and then implement executive orders already approved by the Cryptocracy.

It’s not rule of law. It will be the secret law, secret rule, where executive authoritarianism will once again thwart any chance of constitutional law being applied during a perceived crisis or emergency.

Note that all the same and more from the patriot act have been included into the Security Act. So don’t think just because it didn’t pass that they will stop. they only play a shill game with the info and nothings changed. Right now, don’t most US citizens think that Russia really can’t be any worse then the US gov to be under?
