Sunday Bun – The Strongman

Note: Peggy and I would like to thank all of you who covered us in prayer for the last 8 days.  The situation has resolved but not the way we had hoped.   We both are exhausted and heart-sick.  However, God is in control and while we don’t see what is going on behind the scenes, I am sure He has and will be working.

The Strong Man:

Before the Nephilim Mounds 3 conference last week I had a very troubling dream which, as it turns out, was prophetic.  In the dream I found myself in a room and in front of me was a very large man, as large as the Hulk, and his chest and arms were bare.  He was huge and he said this to me, I’m going to rip you in pieces.  

I tried to fight him but was overcome and then I awakened and was troubled.  The Spirit of the Living God spoke to me and said, You cannot fight this in the flesh, only in the spirit. I lay in bed and wondered what had just happened….. now I know.

The strongman came at us with both barrels and our lives have been a train wreck since the conference.  We have been praying against the strongman and asked Father to send His angels to war against this intruder.

The reason why I share this experience is because it is a battle report and a teachable moment for all of us who may have not gone through something like this.

There can be strongholds in our lives or the lives of our loved ones.  These entities can attach themselves through the use of drugs, occult practices, sexual improprieties or a host of other doorways, that if not checked can lead to chaos in a person’s life and the life of other family members as well.

In order to remove the strongman the person who is “hosting” it must want it removed.  I have been involved in a few deliverances in my 35 years as a born again believer.  It’s not something I am called to do specifically but when it presents itself and I get confirmation from the Father, I will engage.  One thing I have learned.  Unless the person wants the strongman out, it won’t come out as it has legal right to be there. Human beings have free will and to turn a StarTrek phrase, this is the prime directive which cannot be violated.  In other words unless the person who has allowed the strongman into their lives in the first place makes a conscious decision to have it removed, it will not come out, free will is in play.

However, if a person does wants to be set free from the bondage then a battle can be forthcoming, as this unclean spirit will not want to leave.   This is where putting on the armor of God and walking in the Spirit comes into play.   These demons must bow and yield to the name above all names, Jesus.

So what do we do with a person who embraces the strongman in their life?  Fast and pray and believe that at some point Father God will act.

A friend once told me: where there is life there’s hope.

As we walk through our lives it can appear to us that a situation is hopeless and in the natural it may certainly look that way, however, we don’t see what is happening in the spirit world.  We don’t see how are prayers may be affecting the situation.

In closing todays post.  As most of you know my new book, Days of Chaos, will be out soon.  The times were are living in are certainly chaotic.  How much more should we spend in prayer, take every thought captive and walk according to the spirit and not the flesh.
