Blackstar: Requiem For Major Tom

David Bowie passed away, two days after his 69th birthday, following an 18 month cancer battle that he managed to keep secret. YouTube, however, had the video “Blackstar” from his forthcoming album of the same name, which the trades said would be released on his 69th birthday.

After viewing the video “Blackstar” and listening to the powerful single form the album, “Lazarus,” it is now tragically clear that it was a performance artist genius’s way of telling us all goodbye.

When I heard the news from the BBC about David Bowie’s death, I couldn’t believe it because there was an internet hoax two days before his death claiming that he had passed away suddenly.

The fake Facebook post published one day after his birthday said “our beloved singer David Bowie” had passed away. Hundreds of fans posted touching tributes on the fake Facebook page called R.I.P David Bowie.

The post attracted nearly one million ‘likes’ and caused huge confusion among his fans and the media. Because of it, when Bowie did lose his 18-month battle with cancer, some media outlets publicly told how they had to wait for official confirmation before reporting the news. His death has been the subject of internet hoaxers for several years – even before last week’s inaccurate Facebook post.

I was reminded on my Facebook page about the countless times that I had said on my show that I had hoped that before Bowie died he would all tell us that he was really an alien that fell to earth, became a rock star, found his alien bride in Iman and then they would both leave together in a column of light.

I would always say, you can’t blame me for feeling this way; after all, he had so many so many different incarnations over the course of several decades, and the majority of them were explicitly extraterrestrial. When I saw his bald head and reptilian eyes in the film “The Man Who Fell To Earth” he did not look human and he was unbelievably advanced in his art that is timeless even now.

In 1971 Bowie released “Oh! You Pretty Things” which if you read the lyrics you understand full well that the song took its inspiration from the timeless alien story from Arthur C. Clarke, Childhood’s End:

“I think about a world to come
Where the books were found by the Golden Ones”

“The Golden Ones” is, of course, a reference to the Overlords, led by Karellen, who told humankind that the aliens would usher in a “Golden Age.”

Karellen tells the humans about their fate in the book that recently was made into a television series produced on the SyFy Channel:

“You must face the fact that yours is the last generation of homo sapiens. As to the nature of that change, we can tell you very little. All we have discovered is that it starts with a single individual—always a child—and then spreads explosively, like the formation of crystals around the first nucleus in a saturated solution. Adults will not be affected, for their minds are already set in an unalterable mould.

In a few years it will all be over, and the human race will have divided in twain. There is no way back, and no future for the world you know. All the hopes and dreams of your race are ended now. You have given birth to your successors, and it is your tragedy that you will never understand them…”

Bowie continues in “Oh! You Pretty Things” with a warning similar to that of the alien Overlords:

Let me make it plain
You gotta make way for the Homo Superior
Look at your children
See their faces in golden rays
Don’t kid yourself they belong to you
They’re the start of a coming race.
Homo Sapiens have outgrown their use
All the strangers came today
And it looks as though they’re here to stay.

Bowie’s creation of multiple alien personalities also mirrors what the popular culture questioned and still questions now, and that is the possibility of ancient aliens, or Star-Men visiting the earth and becoming, or influencing, Messiahs.

There’s a starman waiting in the sky
He’d like to come and meet us
But he thinks he’d blow our minds

There’s a starman waiting in the sky
He’s told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it’s all worthwhile

He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie—From the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

Bowie seemed to be the alien in all of us when mankind reached the moon and the stars. In 1969 he released “Space Oddity” about a fictional astronaut named Major Tom. “Ashes to Ashes,” a song released in 1980 off the Scary Monsters album, revisited the story of Major Tom, which he referenced once again in 1995 with “Hallo Spaceboy.”

In the Blackstar video released in 2015 we see that there is a motionless astronaut laying on the moon. With The Black Star over him, a young girl with a tail – representing a feline alien entity — kneels at the feet of the astronaut. The visor is lifted to reveal a skull adorned in gold. This is Major Tom; the time of his life is over and his skeletal remains ascend towards the Black Star.

In the song Lazarus, the single released from the Blackstar album, we hear the chilling lyrics that Major Tom delivers from the stars:

Look up here, I’m in heaven
I’ve got scars that can’t be seen
I’ve got drama, can’t be stolen

Everybody knows me now

Look up here, man, I’m in danger
I’ve got nothing left to lose
I’m so high it makes my brain whirl

Dropped my cell phone down below

It is as if he is saying, Now that I have told you and shown you who I really am, I have left this planet and I am now in the stars, I am in heaven. Even in the video of Lazarus the ageing Bowies puts on his old Ziggy Stardust clothing and dances.

In the book “Stardust: The David Bowie Story”, it is written that On October 19th,1974, while on stage in Detroit, Bowie told his audience about a flying saucer story he had heard about on the radio. He later started talking about extraterrestrial creatures in general, indicating that he was on intimate terms with these beings from another time and place. He was disappointed that no one around him seemed interested.

There are people who are convinced that his success is not without some kind of otherworldly assistance. I am also inclined to believe I got my wish, the wish of him admitting before his death that he was indeed not of this world. In the song “BlackStar” he sings these lyrics:

“Something happened on the day he died
Spirit rose a meter and stepped aside
Somebody else took his place and bravely cried
I’m a blackstar, I’m a star star, I’m a blackstar.”

The Black Star or Black Sun was and still is a symbol of power in many darker secret societies. The societies claimed that this sacred symbol created an infinite beam of light which, though invisible to the human eye, existed in anti-matter.

The Black Sun symbol had several other meanings as well. It represented the dark star, the Death Star, fallen angel or the fallen star or the dark moon. The fallen ones or the fallen angels are spoken of in the Bible as the Nephilim.

Some say that the Black Star is the dark twin of the sun, Nemesis, and for others it is a symbol of Planet X the home of the Annunaki. The Annunaki means “Those Of Royal Blood” and are the immortal extraterrestrial gods that inhabited the earth in ancient Mesopotamia. In the bible their offspring were known as the Nephilim, alien beings or fallen ones.

The Sumerians were also aware of the importance of Pleiades, showing it in several seals and images. Many believers in the occult extraterrestrial theories believe that there is a race of aliens that come from the Pleiades. There are seven stars in the Pleiades – the seventh is the Black Star.

The Greek legends of the Black Star are echoed in Jewish, Hindu, and Mongolian folklore: their basis in an actual event seems to be corroborated by astronomical evidence that a clearly visible star in the cluster became extinct towards the end of the second millennium BC. The Black Star was named Electra and is a sign of impending doom.

There is a Black Sun sculpture by Isamu Noguchi in Seattle Washington. It can be seen in Volunteer Park when you look through the hole in the sculpture you can see the Space Needle. This sculpture was the inspiration for that band Soundgarden’s song “Black Hole Sun,” written by Chris Cornell.

Another name for the Black Star or Sun is Nemesis, a theoretical dwarf star thought to be a companion to our sun. The theory was postulated to explain a perceived cycle of mass extinctions in Earth’s history. Scientists speculated that such a star could affect the orbit of objects in the far outer solar system, sending them on a collision course with Earth.

The Black Sun, The Black Star, or the Dark or Death Star appears in the writings of Theosophist Madame Blavatsky. Blavatsky wrote in her book Isis Unveiled that the return of the Black Sun or death star would be evident when the 13th house of Mazzaroth is active from the core of Ophiuchus. The 13th house is the Serpent Holder, and from it will come the Black Sun.

Blavatsky wrote, “The sudden star, though seen by all of the Earth, does not elicit the fear it should even as fire begins to stain the Northern skies. But, when Mars retreats from Ophiuchus, and the blue light separates from the green, know that war and sudden destruction is at hand as the Black Sun rises once again.”

Ophiuchus is new to many people. I have mentioned it before in many of my shows because it is important to know about it when trying to figure out secret societal language. The accepted knowledge within the mainstream narrative is that our Sun travels through only 12 constellations in the Zodiac or Mazzaroth. They are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.

However, it is a little known fact that the Sun spends only about nineteen days in this 13th house known as Serpentarius. As far as Astrologers were concerned, the Sun traveled from the constellation Scorpius and then proceeded directly into the sign of Sagittarius. The Sun, for 19 days of the year, travels through the star constellation ‘Ophiuchus’ before entering Sagittarius from Scorpius.

What is exactly in the area of Ophiuchus that is so secret? Many believe that the portal to God can be found there. Many say that it is the home of the Nemesis. The Nemesis of course is also referred to as “Vulcan” the partner to a hypothetical binary star system idea, Nibiru the popular name of the 12th planet in the solar system and ‘Planet X” which is supposed to return from a wide elliptical orbit.

It is The Black Sun that will produce a whirlwind of fire or wormhole and it will create chaos and havoc upon the earth. Many have seen this anomaly and have called it Elijah’s vehicle, the shining vesture, the stairway to heaven, and the infernal maelstrom.

It was written in the old sacred texts that from the wormhole would come fiery rocks and comets. These were also spoken of by Blavatsky when she wrote; “Now, let us turn to the oldest written records left us by the Chaldeans, the Hermetic Book of Numbers, and see what we shall find in the allegorical language of Hermes, Kadmus, or Thuti, the thrice great Trismegistus.

In the beginning of time the great invisible one had his holy hands full of celestial matter which he scattered throughout the infinity; and lo, behold! it became balls of fire and balls of clay; and they scattered like the moving metal into many smaller balls, and began their ceaseless turning; and some of them which were balls of fire became balls of clay; and the balls of clay became balls of fire; and the balls of fire were waiting their time to become balls of clay; and the others envied them and bided their time to become balls of pure divine fire.”

Ophiuchus and some of the fixed stars in it were sometimes used by astrologers in antiquity as extra-zodiacal indicators in determining the times for cataclysms. It is interesting to note that the meanings of the crossing of the “Dark Rift,” Dark Star, Black Star, Black Sun, or zero point is often associated with “Judgment” or “Day of Judgment.”

Also the day of Cataclysm, plague, death and the healing of the sick and raising of the dead.

It is the ancient symbol of death and resurrection.

It is no secret Bowie was an occultist; in the song Quicksand he says in his lyrics:

“I’m closer to the Golden Dawn
Immersed in Crowley’s uniform of imagery.”

Even in the video “Blackstar” he holds up a book that looks like a bible with the Black Star on it, which I believe is symbolic of the Crowley book Liber AL vel Legis, holy book of his order Argentium Astrum or the Silver Star.

The entire video sequencing of “Blackstar” are cutaways that reveal a surreal side of Bowie, a perspective that at times reveals his mortality, and his humanity, wrapped in the trappings of his alien persona.

In the song “Dollar Days” on the album, Bowie posthumously indicates that he has fooled everyone – that he may be indeed some sort of anomaly:

“I’m dying to
Push their backs against the grain
And fool them all again and again.”

In some weird imaginary fantasy, I can tell you that he fooled us into believing he was human even to the point of dying. This is his ultimate joke on all of us.

As a human rock and roll superstar he will be missed, as a possible alien who fooled us the whole time he was here. He will never be known.
