The above title is a translation from Psalm (91:6) in the Wycliffe Bible.
When I was in Asia, particularly India, I came to know their spiritual and scientific culture very well. In fact, it would be fair to say that the Hindus have no sense of the supernatural whatsoever. What we, as crude Americans, might call the paranormal is simply seen as supernormal over there. That is, because of their unique heritage, they are well-equipped to register events that are in fact not in accordance with ordinary time and place. I use the words time and place because the nexus of the phenomena we crudely call either time or place (and both are actually indistinct) is of a singular definition which we label the fourth dimension.
All humans and animals experience the fourth dimension all the time. However, unlike most Westerners the majority of individuals in the East are trained from cradle to grave to be able to fully experience it. They can fully experience the fourth dimension in the East in full wisdom and knowledge of it because they have the most peculiar religions, ritual practices, and ideals of what ultimate reality is. If you were to tell the average Hindu about your UFO sighting or encounter with a demonic entity they would throw their head back, chuckle, and with a big grin say—ah, yes! That always happens this time of year!
Their conception of time and place is cyclical. The West has a linear conception of time.
A Theravada Buddhist will only tell you that what you saw was part of the illusionary and delusional nature of samsaric existence.
But this article is not a treatise on the metaphysics of existence nor a philosophical discourse upon the structure of the fourth dimension. Certainly this is not meant to be a personal story.
Instead this is an a priori meditation upon primordial goblins from hyperspace.
With David Icke currently making the rounds yet again with tales of reptilian shapeshifters then I suppose now is as good a time as any to remind the public that consciousness determines perception which in turn becomes an experience of reality.
I advise anyone to just read the scientific report of Jacques Vallée in his book Messengers of Deception: UFO Contacts and Cults. In that book and other books which he has penned he lays out a credible hypothesis that UFOs, which he sees as a fundamental shared existence to other paranormal phenomena, manifests as if it is a control system—manipulating the beliefs of individuals and groups to sinister effect.
Look around at the world, as it is, and ask yourself . . .
“Is not all this chaos the work of a goblin assailing and going in darknesses or into midday as a fiend?”
