Lurking Mountain Lion Strikes with Lightning Speed (Video)

A trail cam posted on a property in California captured the amazing moment when a hunting mountain lion emerges from the darkness and takes down an unsuspecting deer.

In the spooky footage, the poor prey animal nibbles away at some grass as an eerie set of glowing eyes suddenly appear behind it.

Not wasting any time, the mountain lion pounces with incredible speed and takes down the deer, who emits a haunting sound as it is attacked.

The sheer swiftness with which the mountain lion pulled off the attack is truly a sight to behold and should give one pause the next time they are out near the wilderness at night.

According to the video’s description, the mountain lion feasted on the deer for three days until smartly yielding its spoils to a pair of bears that showed up on the fourth day.
