Flat earthers are saying the shadow of the moon is too small, thus proving everything is fake.
My response:
To get how big the complete shadow of the moon should be, for a total eclipse, you have to take the arc of the sun, in degrees, factor that to the arc of the moon, in degrees, and then factor that in with the distance the moon is from the Earth. You can basically consider the sun to be at an infinite distance in this perspective (400X as far away)
When you do that, you will quickly see that the total blackout area the moon casts will be small, and if the earth was even a little bit farther away from the moon, there would be no total black out area at all and all eclipses would be annular because the arc of the sun would be more than that of the moon. To see how big the moon is, and see everything is perfectly correct scientifically, you have to include the entire area of the earth that gets a partial eclipse. THAT will reflect the size of the moon exactly. But the CIA has done such a good job with the flat earth brainwash that those who believe it are probably rendered incapable of processing the truth, even after it has been handed to them, right here. With them it all boils down to whether or not the CIA can keep control over them.
Earthquakes and eclipses
Earthquakes do coincide with eclipses, because the combined perfect alignment of the gravity of the sun with that of the moon stresses the earth more than what happens at any other time. Significantly. There used to be a web site called sysygyjob that explained this very well, but it has not been updated for almost 20 years even though it still loads.
This does not guarantee there will be an earthquake, but the possibility is considerably higher than usual.
Nothing is going to happen during the upcoming solar eclipse, other than a few people making money off parking spaces they set up in their yards. I have not ignored this eclipse, but there is absolutely nothing associated with it. However, the blood moon tetrad that happened a couple years ago appears to have marked the beginning of a sinister new era where we might just get our butts kicked.
