Not one of them actually knows what it is to run a real business. They have never had to fight every day to keep body, soul and even employees in a job. A common characteristic, openly apparent in Amazon’s systems, is the total lack of empathy for the real world where nothing is as black and white as computer bits or balance sheets.

Amazon are aware of the problems but steadfastly refuse to do anything about them. Inside Amazon those working with customers freely express their frustrations about working with other divisions within the company. Something is obviously not working well.
