Texas: Cop Arrested for Pulling Over Young Women for Speeding, Then Raping Them (Video)

A Texas police officer has been arrested following an accusation by a young woman who told police that he pulled her over for speeding but then allegedly raped her following the traffic stop.  However, police don’t believe the women is the only victim.

Hector Aaron Ruiz, 24, was arrested last week and charged with coercing a woman he pulled over on November 16th into a sex act.

KHOU reports:

The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Ruiz was accused of sexually assaulting a woman he pulled over on Nov. 16. The 23-year-old victim alleges that Ruiz pulled her over for traffic violations and then requested that she follow him in her car.

Ruiz allegedly led her to an area where no one was around and coerced her into engaging in a sexual act, the DA’s Office said.

The DA’s Office says the victim reported the incident to the Manvel Police Department and the Arcola PD cooperated with their investigation. The Texas Rangers eventually took over the investigation.

Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton released the following statement Thursday morning on the case:

“The utter violation of public trust that these allegations represent is heinous and disgraceful. My office will prosecute these criminal offenses to the fullest extent possible under the law.”

“This is a horrible abuse of power, we take it very seriously…all we ask is who have information come forward and not be afraid to tell the truth,” DA Chief Public Integrity Prosecutor Terese Buess said at a press conference Thursday morning.

There was an update to the story later on.

According to Michelle Choi, “Based on their investigation so far, @FBCDAO says they believe the alleged sexual assault Arcola Policer Officer Ruiz is accused of may not be his first offense. They believe there may be more victims out there & are asking them to please come forward.”

Ruiz became a full-time police officer in September 2018 following graduation from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2017 and joining the Arcola Police Department in March 2018 as a reserve officer.

His bond was set at $400,000.00.
