The South Shall Rise Again?
Since Obama was re-elected no less than fifteen states have filed paperwork to secceed from the Union. Every state that was a member of the old Confederacy wants to quit the Union. One has to wonder it there are racist factions in this country who would destroy the country rather than be ruled by a black man.
We’ve all heard the old saying,”The South Will Rise Again!” But when and where was this to take place? Has there been an unspoken agreement between the southern states dating back to the end of the Civil War that says when a black man is elected president they would seek to leave the union and rise again? Has the racists and elitists decided that, with the re-election of Obama, the country has been lost to ex-slaves and illegal immigrants and it’s time to rise up and defend the entrenched white 1%ers vision of what America should be? Ruled by white elitists and the ultra rich.
This could very well be the start of America’s second civil war. There is no doubt that a policy of firing employees because the president was re-elected is seditionistic in nature and sooner or later will elicit a violent backlash.
Separatism has become very real in the last week. Of the 15 states that have petitioned to leave the Union it is legal for only one, Texas, to do so. All other states would be considered US territory in revolt and open to military action to re-establish US control.
Maybe Obama knows more than we do and maybe all those FEMA camps around the country will be filled with southern revolutionaries. Maybe the next four years will be very hard if you live on the edge of the north/south zone.
At some point the separatists, who it would seem have been hiding in plain sight as the Republican’t party, will have to be stopped or this great country will be destroyed by their hatred, suppression and intolerance.

you are perpetuating the false impression that the petitions are state sponsored whereas they are not. petitions have been filed in the name of states across the country, not just the south, by private individuals, e.g. – the new york petition (one of the fifteen you reference) was filed by a person only known as “CR” from grand forks, north dakota.
if you are looking for a cogent argument i would be more than happy to lay out point by point a series of facts that will dispel your various erroneous assertions that are evident within your article here and comments you have posted in others.
Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I agree that the petitions were not state sponsored but you can bet they were filed by Republican’ts and are supported by the GOP who are in control of those states. One thing I did notice is that many states have rejected Obamacare and some of the very companies who are using the impending Obamacare as a reason to fire employees are in those states. That means the only reason they are firing employees is in retribution against voters and to further the economic ruin they have already caused and have stonewalled any attempts for the last 4 years to fix it.
Sooner or later we must all realize that the Republican’t Party is out to destroy this country either with economic ruin or civil war.
ah, nice to see your reply, rick.. i was beginning to involve myself in a one sided rant. it’s interesting to me how differently people can view and assess current events, based upon personal experience, bias, and philosophy. i will stop here., but i must say, although we have different perspectives, i find your views interesting, if not somewhat baffling…. but who am i to judge? hehe.. hope i didnt offend – it is obvious to me that we both are very concerned with the state of this country, and that is what truly matters.

I enjoy different points of view when intelligently expressed. Just see things getting worst and dysfunctional Washington as being completely compromised by special interests. None of those people work for the voters anymore and now it looks to me they are trying to cause civil unrest.
yes, one more note.. i agree with that assertion – the intent of some to cause civil unrest – very disturbing.. and the development of these petitions to secede i find particularly disturbing, for a variety of reasons. what will be the consequences..? ramped up social control?

as a life long registered independent, i feel i can objectively assess the character and qualities of both conservatives and liberals.. and through a quick study of your writings, it seems clear to me where you are coming from..
The saying nor the people in the states are racist. It’s about our freedoms as human beings. Many of men died not to protect slavery but to protect our rights to decide for our selves, to make sure we control and aren’t controlled.
