Gun control dies down. Now that the Boston manhunt is over, will it pick back up?

With all the recent tragedies and explosions in Texas and Boston, the gun control agenda has been put on the backburner. Ever since the background check bill failed to pass the senate on Wednesday, the mainstream media seem to be loosing interest, fast. CNN’s website has barely a trace of gun article, as well as Foxnews. The gun control agenda seems to be loosing its momentum with the MSM withdrawing interest in it. As everyone shifts their focus to the news in Texas and Boston. Officials are expected to release a few more bills in the next few weeks, but these reports have not been confirmed by valid sources.

The future bills to come are believed to carry a magazine capacity limit law as well as another attempt at background checks and registration. Many lobby groups and citizens have said these bills have little to no chance of passing. This in fact could be true, seeing how the S. 649 bill (background check expansion) did not pass the senate vote. As the Boston and Texas tragedies die down, we will see a shift back into the gun control debate. Right now, each side needs a break from all the politics.
