In 2008, when she was the GOP vice presidential nominee, Palin questioned in a speech whether then-Sen. Barack Obama would have the foreign policy credentials to handle a scenario in which Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.
“After the Russian army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence – the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next,” she said in Reno, Nevada on October 21, 2008.

I have followed Sarah Palin and when you look at her she always speaks so people understand and I have yet to see her “back track” on ANYTHING that she has said. And bringing her personal life and children into an discussion is extremely poor judgement! She is a very intelligent lady and she is on top of current events and she is unduly criticized because she says it the way it is and when actors and bigots insult her for being correct one has to wonder why this is necessary! Putin is a shrewd leader and he caught Obama sleeping, as usual, and he is smart enough to know that Obama has opened a can of worms in America and America is tired of his wanting to make America a “nothing” nation and Sarah had every right to take a swing at him and I would venture to say more and more of America is looking at what she can do! Everyone is entitled to their opinion but family is not part of the political game!
Putin never invaded Georgia, it was already there under UN peacekeeping auspices from 2002 – 2008 untill it was shelled and attacked, the drawing of this breakaway Republic into the Russian fold of Ossetia happened after, not before a Georgian Goverment armed attack on peacekeeping troops in the region in 2008 and a rapid response the next day by Russia was so total in strength it all but annilated the entire Georgian Army and Airforce. Does she still think Africa is not a continent ?.
