TIME Gives Clinton Horns On Its Cover

The latest Time magazine cover has Hillary Clinton sporting a new look — horns.

The “M” in Time forms what look like horns on the former secretary of state’s head on the cover of its latest issue, posted Thursday accompanying the feature article “The Clinton Way.”

Political reporters took notice of the imagery in the wake of a scandal that leaves Clinton in a media firestorm. Last week, reports revealed that Clinton had used her personal email and server to conduct official government work while serving in the Obama administration.

“What do you see,” The Huffington Post’s Igor Bobic tweeted with a close-up of the cover.

By Thursday afternoon, Time posted an article with 34 examples of its covers “that appeared to give people horns.”

The article shows Clinton in good company with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, Pope Benedict XVI, Pope John Paul II, John Travolta, President Barack Obama, former President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Margaret Thatcher as other notables who have sprouted horns on the magazine cover.

This is not the first instance a Time cover has given Hillary Clinton a devilish look. On another cover from Nov. 16, 2009, Clinton sprouted similar horns.

Zeke Miller, a political reporter for Time, tweeted, “Actual discussion in the TIME office: ‘That’s not the way the horns would be.’”
