This Upsetting Event Just Happened in Georgia- Warning It Will Enrage You!

“Don’t ask us about our meeting with corporate lobbyists!” That was the message given to the 11Alive Investigators at a resort hotel in Savannah, Georgia where they tracked down state legislators having secret meetings behind closed doors.
The meetings were part of the Spring Task Force Summit of the American Legislative Exchange Council, also known as ALEC.
According to their website ALEC:
“…is America’s largest nonpartisan, voluntary membership organization of state legislators. Comprised of nearly one-quarter of the country’s state legislators, business and thought leaders, think tank scholars and individuals, ALEC provides a unique forum for diverse groups to exchange ideas and develop real, state-based solutions that encourage growth, preserve economic security and protect hardworking taxpayers.”
They claim to be a place that not only represents communities but also a place of transparency. However, they were anything but transparent at this confidential meeting that no media was allowed to attend.
When 11Alive reporters arrived to record the meeting police officers attempted to force them out of the building…
Why is it that elite legislators and corporate lobbyists feel the need to meet behind closed door just like the Bilderbers? What laws, money deals, or plans were they discussing that were so important? Could this have anything to do with where we are headed as a nation in the near future?

I’m talking about the appalling Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, a partial draft of which WikiLeaks has just released. This treaty has been negotiated in secret meetings dominated by governments and corporations. You and I have been systematically excluded, and once you learn what they’re doing, you can see why.
The outsiders who understand TPP best aren’t surprised. That is, the draft “confirms fears that the negotiating parties are prepared to expand the reach of intellectual property rights, and shrink consumer rights and safeguards,” writes James Love a longtime watcher of this process.
Needless to say, copyright is a key part of this draft. And the negotiators would further stiffen copyright holders’ control while upping the ante on civil and criminal penalties for infringers. The Electronic Frontier Foundation says TPP has “extensive negative ramifications for users’ freedom of speech, right to privacy and due process, and hinder peoples’ abilities to innovate”. It’s Hollywood’s wish list.

Charlie here. By the time I read your and Angle#2 reports I should be so disgusted, shocked, upset, angry, outraged, aghast, appalled, dismayed and fed up that I should be ready to jump up and rip my shirt off!
But actually Angle#1 you ought to know that you should NEVER EVER see how laws and sausages are made. The exception is doughnuts.
You may see how they are made and Charlie has nothing to hide. We punch holes in some and twist the others. I agree it sounds like we are making laws, but we are not.

Nothing on BIN enrages me. My little chicken brain has been entirely desensitized to enraging events because it has been bombarded by the BIN fear porn for far too long. I guess it’s all by design.
Are we really all that surprised? really??? Government is crooked and in the pocket of corporations and the Elite. It’s not going to change; it’s only getting worse.
