Did the French Government Really Hide Evidence of the Torture And Mutilations Of Paris Terror Victims?

As you recall, back in November the Paris nightclub, Bataclan, was taken over by an Islamic terrorist cell as part of a complex and synchronized series of attacks throughout Paris. By the time order was restored, 89 people and two terrorists were dead.

And that was that. Until yesterday when a British site called Heat Street ran a story titled EXCLUSIVE: France ‘Suppressed Reports of Gruesome Torture’ at Bataclan Massacre. It is based on the transcript of witness testimony from a parliamentary commission investigating the terrorist attacks. (Actual report here, translated by Google, I’m relying on this report.)

The chief police witness in Parliament testified that on the night of the attacks, an investigating officer, tears streaming down his face, rushed out of the Bataclan and vomited in front of him just after seeing the disfigured bodies.

The 14-hour testimony about the November attacks took place March 21st.

According to this testimony, Wahhabist killers reportedly gouged out eyes, castrated victims, and shoved their testicles in their mouths. They may also have disemboweled some poor souls. Women were reportedly stabbed in the genitals – and the torture was, victims told police, filmed for Daesh or Islamic State propaganda. For that reason, medics did not release the bodies of torture victims to the families, investigators said.

But prosecutors at the hearing claimed these reports of torture were “a rumor” on the grounds that sharp knives were not found at the scene. They also claimed that maybe shrapnel had caused the injuries.

What were those injuries.

Q. For the information of the Commission of Inquiry….can you tell us how you learned that there had been acts of barbarism within the Bataclan: beheadings, evisceration, eyes gouged out …?

Investigator: After the assault, we were with colleagues at the passage Saint-Pierre Amelot when I saw weeping from one of our colleagues who came outside to vomit. He told us what he had seen.

Then there was this interchange between one of the French prosecutors in the case and an investigator from the commission:

Prosecutor: I specify, for the sake of clarity: some of the bodies found at the Bataclan were extremely mutilated by the explosions and weapons, to the point that it was sometimes difficult to reconstruct the dismembered bodies. In other words, injuries described this father may also have been caused by automatic weapons, by explosions or projections of nails and bolts that have resulted.

Prosecutor: I do not have that information.

The story has subsequently been picked up by a handful of outlets in the US and the UK.

Is this what actually happened? Because it seemed to me that the tumbrils would be heading towards Place de la Révolution were that the case. Not being particularly French I don’t know the personalities or the climate of the commission well enough to make an assessment of what went on here. Did Mr. Fenech throw out a major allegation and did the government representative say, in very Obama-like style, ‘nothing to see here, move along’? Or did Mr. Fenech throw out a rumor, a la ‘jet fuel can’t melt steel’ as a slow hanging curve so the government could dispose of the story for once and for all? The fact that we are dealing with muslim terrorists leads and a pusillanimous and deceitful French government makes me believe the first explanation. The fact that there was no follow up questions on the subject, literally the subject changed after Mr. Christian saint’s response, and that there hasn’t been a very loud response from French opposition parties makes me believe the latter. Regardless of the veracity of this story, France has a huge problem. But it is not alone. Virtually any nation with an measurable muslim population has a terror problem. Even being muslim-majority does not decrease the risk of Islamic terrorism

France has good reason for trying to suppress news of atrocities at Bataclan, that part of the story is imminently plausible. Just as we’ve seen the Obama regime do the same after terror attacks in the United States. I’m just not sure this story meets the test.
