Jill Stein is trying to start a Civil War in this country. Donald Trump hasnât even taken office yet but I’m already agreeing with him on one particular issue. Trump called Jill Stein’s voter recount in Wisconsin a Green Party “scam”. I couldn’t agree with him more.
Of course now Hillary Clinton is jumping on the bandwagon despite having previously stated the election results should be accepted. Here’s exactly what Trump said in a statement about Jill Stein’s recount: “The people have spoken and the election is over, and as Hillary Clinton herself said on election night, in addition to conceding by congratulating me, we must accept this result and then look to the future.
It is important to point out that with the help of millions of voters across the country, we won 306 electoral votes on Election Day – the most of any Republican since 1988 – and we carried 9 of 13 battleground states, 30 of 50 states, and more than 2,600 counties nationwide – the most since President Ronald Reagan in 1984.
This recount is just a way for Jill Stein, who received less than one percent of the vote overall and wasn’t even on the ballot in many states, to fill her coffers with money, most of which she will never even spend on this ridiculous recount. All three states were won by large numbers of voters, especially Pennsylvania, which was won by more than 70,000 votes.
This is a scam by the Green Party for an election that has already been conceded, and the results of this election should be respected instead of being challenged and abused, which is exactly what Jill Stein is doing. What does Jill Stein hope to gain from this recount? Maybe it’ll finally show she got 1.2% of the vote. I don’t think so. Now that the Democrats are joining her movement for voter recount you have to wonder if the Green Party was just an extension of the Democratic party all along.
You know, just like how Bernie Sanders was quick to bow down and kiss Clinton’s ring and devote months on the road trying to convince his constituents that Clinton was just like him and she wanted for them what he wanted for them. Which we all know was a complete lie. Stein has raised $6.4 million of the $7 million needed to cover fees and legal costs for the three recounts, according to her campaign website.
The voting margins make it highly unlikely any recounts would end up giving Clinton a win in all three states, which would be needed for the overall election result to change. Trump beat Clinton in Pennsylvania by 70K votes, in Michigan by 10K votes and in Wisconsin by 27K votes. Let me remind you that 90K people in Michigan went to polls and voted on everything except Presidential candidate.
Here’s what Marc Elias, Clinton’s general counsel said. Now that a recount has been initiated in Wisconsin, we intend to participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides. If Jill Stein follows through as she has promised and pursues recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan, we will take the same approach in those states as well.
Stein’s call for a recount came after data scientists publicly raised questions about discrepancies in election results.
The academics presented findings showing that in Wisconsin, Clinton received 7 percent fewer votes in counties that relied on electronic-voting machines compared with counties that used optical scanners and paper ballots. Based on this statistical analysis, Clinton may have been denied as many as 30,000 votes; she lost Wisconsin by 27,000. A Clinton win in all three states would give her enough Electoral College votes to claim the presidency.
However, FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver and The New York Times Nate Cohn, cast doubt on the claims, which compared voting in counties that used paper ballots with those that used electronic machines. Silver and Cohn said the suspicious results disappear when controlling for demographic factors like race and education.
Let me explain what that means…it means under educated white males voted for Donald Trump. Uhm! Yeah I think we know this already!! Cry Baby Clinton supporters have been using the hashtag #AuditTheVote on Twitter to advocate for a recount. They also have circulated petitions to force electors in the Electoral College not to vote for Trump, and to eliminate the Electoral College altogether. Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate, has not expressed an interest in a recount.
And I would say to all Coastal Americans that you need to wake up and realize that 1) trade deals like NAFTA and the TPP have affected millions of their fellow Americans that they themselves don’t interact with 2) those people voted for Trump for that reason and that reason only 3) Americans are far more racist than you’ve lead yourselves to believe. 4) White American Males don’t give a shit about women, their right to their reproductive organs, rape, or sexual harassment. So here’s my question to Jill Stein…do you want a civil war? You can’t change the results. Even if you find there were some discrepancies Clinton has already conceded and Trump is putting his team together.
Congratulations on bamboozling at least one of my friends into donating for this ridiculous cause. I’m not mentioning any names since he’s already not thrilled with my political views. I know you feel bad you took away votes from Clinton in key states but that doesn’t change the fact Trump won. If he was contesting the outcome the news media and all you social liberals would be screaming in the streets. Thank you for listening.
