If Prosecution Becomes Apparent, Will President Obama Pardon Hillary?

I’ve already heard this particular line of murmuring.

Democrats are circling the wagons. They couldn’t give Hillary the White House, but they could push that she be allowed to continue to skate for her corruption, through a presidential pardon.

“As you know, the president has offered clemency to a substantial number of Americans who were previously serving time in federal prisons, and we didn’t talk in advance about the president’s plans to offer clemency to any of those individuals,” Earnest told reporters on Wednesday upon being asked about Donald Trump‘s threat in the final presidential debate to jail Clinton if he made it to the Oval Office.

“We don’t talk about the president’s thinking… with respect to any particular cases that may apply to any pardons or commutations,” Earnest said when asked about Clinton’s case.

No, you didn’t talk in advance about them because Obama has been used to doing whatever he wants with little opposition from anyone.

This, however, is something else. If there is any threat of justice to be meted out, should Obama make his final act as president that of giving Clinton one, final protection?

Shades of Ford/Nixon?

Earnest made a seeming appeal to Trump to forget about any plans he may have to pursue prosecution.

“What I would direct your attention to, though, is the president’s observation that he made in the Rose Garden about the tone that President-elect Trump displayed in his remarks last night, and that tone is consistent with the longstanding traditions of our democracy,” he said. “That’s relevant because we’ve got a long tradition in this country of people in power not using the criminal justice system to exact political revenge. In fact, we go to great lengths to insulate our justice system from partisan politics.”

I don’t even know if this should be considered “political revenge.” The facts are, her crimes were against all Americans, as it is that all Americans’ security was threatened.

That being said, Trump has given no indication that he would keep any of the promises that propelled him to victory, so his friend is safe.

LOL! I don’t think Obozo can pardon himself though even if he tries to do the Clintons. Man, I’ll bet there are many worried criminals in this country today.
