Trump’s MAGA Christmas Ornament Garners Hilarious Amazon Reviews

The first Christmas season I ever remember sharing with my ex-husband’s family stands out in my memory.

It wasn’t for the food or the family present, but because of the ornaments on the Christmas tree.

From top to bottom, the tree was decked out in Elvis Presley Christmas ornaments. And I mean every season of Elvis Presley – from young, sultry, rockabilly Elvis to the bloated, sequined-jumpsuit, Vegas Elvis. He was completely represented.

My mother-in-law was quite proud.

I remember desperately trying to keep a straight face, as I nodded appreciatively through her monologue of what each ornament represented.

Inside, however, I was screaming, “What does Elvis Presley have to do with Christmas?? That’s the wrong king!”

Now, fast-forward some 30 years later, and there is a new outrage to litter our Christmas trees.

Have you seen those ridiculous red Trump hat ornaments?

Yes, the Trump campaign has found a way to continue making a buck off of the campaign, even after the election is over.

President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign on Wednesday unveiled $149 “Make America Great Again” Christmas ornaments, a mini version of his iconic red cap “made of brass and finished in 14 karat gold.”

I wouldn’t pay $149 to have the real Donald Trump hanging on my tree, much less that dumb hat.

Honestly, this isn’t the first time a president or president-elect has been used to sell collectibles.

I remember the Obama commemorative plates and magnetic placards.

There’s even Obama cologne.

It smells like arrogance and sweaty feet.

The difference here is that Trump’s campaign is actually behind putting out this keepsake.

When the novelty was revealed on Amazon, the snark came out, with hundreds of single-star reviews hitting the site.

One review from “A. Flowerson” read, “This ornament has bigly potential. YUGE. it’ll make your tree great. very great. it’ll do great things for your tree. great things.”

Another review from “BSPhDon” read “Every time I try to hang it on the branch, it yells ‘WRONG!’ No matter which branch I try, it’s ‘WRONG!’ My brother and father can hang it up just fine, but when my mother and I try, it’s just ‘WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!’

One particular review, by a reviewer named “Shinga” is titled, “I’m Trying to Make the Best of It” and reads:

I didn’t actually order this but somehow it’s on my tree anyway. I’m trying to make the best of it… at least that’s what people are telling me to do. But I don’t know, I’m trying, but there’s suddenly swastikas painted on my other decorations, half of my presents are just dog s***, and the tree itself is on fire. But my conservative friends are telling me the fire is a good thing and I should just be united in celebrating what this ornament has to offer. They’re also saying I need to leave the tree in my house for four to eight years. That doesn’t sound right. Source?

Yes. That one made me laugh.

Still, the MAGA crowd are loyal, and they apparently rushed to buy up these ornaments.

Most of reviews appeared to be fake. Despite the negative reviews, the item was popular, and as of 10:30 p.m. there were only 10 of the ornaments left in stock on Amazon.

As of this morning, I haven’t been able to locate the Amazon page for the ornament, so either the flood of negative reviews has caused Amazon to pull the item, or they’ve sold out.

Either way, if I walk into any house this Christmas and see a Donald Trump Christmas ornament, I can’t promise that I’ll be able to maintain the same composure I exercised 30 years ago.

The mockery will be swift and powerful.
