Trump Exploring Legalities of Bringing Ivanka and Her Husband Into His Administration

It’s that nepotism thing, again.

In an interview Sunday morning with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, President-elect Trump revealed that he’s inquired of his legal team how doable it would be to bring in his liberal daughter and her husband into his administration.

“They’re both very talented people [and] I would love to be able to have them involved,” Trump said.

Kushner was a top adviser to Trump during his campaign and has remained deeply involved in the transition process since last months’ election. Meanwhile, Trump’s daughter has been present for several of her father’s meetings with candidates for his Cabinet. She recently met with former Vice President Al Gore to discuss climate change, an issue she hopes to work on during her father’s presidency.

“If you look at Ivanka, she’s so strongly, as you know, into women’s issues and childcare. Nobody could do better than her,” Trump said, adding that his son-in-law is a “very talented guy.”

“So we’re looking at that from a legal standpoint now,” he said.

In other words, all the progressive nightmares and government overreach that you hated from Obama, will continue in the Trump administration.

It’s ok. He’s a Republican or something.

On Thursday, Trump is slated to give a press conference, in order to address the issue of his children’s involvement.

He has said that he will leave his business entirely in the hands of his children, but if he’s looking to bring Ivanka in to enhance the liberal agenda, she and her husband will have to remove themselves from the Trump business end of things.

What about her own business? Will her role in her dad’s administration become an issue?

I can’t even begin to map out all the conflicts of interest and ethical entanglements this administration is setting itself up for.

If there’s an upside to all of this, it’s that there will be a lot to write about here at RedState for the next four years.
