Evil, Cold-hearted Trump Squashes Australian Teen’s Dream of Attending Space Camp

I laughed out loud when I saw this headline. It’s such a hilariously transparent attempt to portray Donald Trump as the Grinch who Stole Everything Good Ever. It’s an article that would only be published during a Republican administration.

A 15-year-old Australian boy has described breaking down in tears on discovering he was barred from joining his schoolmates on a visit to the US later this year, as a result of Donald Trump’s controversial executive order barring people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the States.

Pouya Ghadirian of Melbourne was born in Australia and holds dual Iranian-Australian citizenship. He had been due to take part in the school trip this March, visiting Orlando, Washington, and the US Space and Rocket Center in Alabama.

I know what it’s like to be disappointed as a kid. When I was a youngster my parents took me to the circus but we found out that it had been cancelled because the Washington Bullets were in the NBA playoffs. I was devastated. I was also a lot younger than 15, and I don’t think I was quite this dumb:

“It’s just unbelievable that Iran was added to the list of countries,” he added. “There are a lot of successful Iranian people in the United States that have contributed to the economy and made America what it is.”

“And I think it’s baseless because there’s no evidence to support that any Iranians would pose any threat going to the United States.”

Okay, based on that bit of genius insight, maybe rocket science is a little out of your league anyway, kid.

As it turns out, the kid is probably going to be able to come to America for space camp anyway, much to the disappointment of those who wanted to use this incident as propaganda.

This ridiculousness made me think that it may be time to create a “Thanks Trump” meme.
