The Yemeni army’s artillery units pounded the Saudi-backed mercenaries’ military positions and concentration centers in Ta’iz and Lahij provinces, inflicting heavy losses on them.

“The Saudi-backed militias’ military positions in several regions of Ta’iz province came under Yemen’s artillery shells, leaving several mercenaries dead and wounded,” the Arabic-language media quoted an unnamed military source as saying on Wednesday.

The source, meantime, went on to say that the Yemeni army and popular forces hit the Saudi-backed mercenaries’ gathering centers in the Eastern part of Kahboub in Lahij province with several Katyusha rockets, killing and injuring a number of them.

“An armored military vehicle of the Saudi-backed mercenaries in the Western part of Kahboub in Lahij was also destroyed in the Yemeni forces’ attack and all the militias in the vehicle were killed,” he added.

The source said that the Yemeni army’s artillery unit also pounded the Saudi-backed militias’ concentration centers in al-Aqroush, Jabal al-Khazr and Jabal Habashi regions.

Several Riyadh-backed mercenaries were also killed and wounded in the Yemeni army’s operations in the Southern part of the city of Zobab.

In a relevant development on Sunday, the Yemeni army and popular forces repelled massive ground attacks by the Saudi-led coalition troops, backed by aerial and naval support, on Zobab and Kahboub regions of Ta’iz province.

“The Saudi-led coalition soldiers staged large-scale attacks on Zobab and Kahboub regions in Western Ta’iz, but despite having the aerial and naval backup of the coalition they were pushed back by the Yemeni forces,” the Arabic-language al-Ahd news website quoted an unnamed Yemeni military source as saying.

The source noted that the Yemeni army and popular forces destroyed 15 military vehicles of the Arab coalition and destroyed the coalition’s military positions in the surrounding areas of Kahboub and Zobab regions.

Also on Sunday, the Yemeni army and popular forces continued their advances against the Saudi-backed militias in several fronts in Ta’iz province and seized back more strategic regions.

The Yemeni forces seized back several districts in Jabal al-Anin region of Ta’iz province.

The Yemeni army and popular forces also advanced against the Saudi-backed militias in al-Mazabi region in the town of Maqbaneh in Ta’iz province.

The Yemeni forces are now preparing to penetrate al-Nobeh region in Marnabeh town.

Also on Monday, the Yemeni army and popular forces continued their advances in Shabwah province, killing a dozen Saudi-backed mercenaries, including a senior commander.

“At least 12 Riyadh-backed militias, including Hamdan al-Nahmi, commander of the Fourth Battalion of forces loyal to the former fugitive President Mansour Hadi were killed in al-Saq region of Shabwah province,” the Arabic-language media quoted a military source as saying.

He said that the Yemeni forces also beat back the Saudi-backed mercenaries who were trying to advance in the town of al-Qayl in al-Jawf province.

Also on Monday, the Yemeni army and popular forces targeted and pounded the Saudi-backed mercenaries’ military positions in the capital city of Sana’a, killing and injuring several of them.

The Yemeni forces’ attacks on the Riyadh-backed militias in Sana’a's Ninth District came in retaliation for the kingdom’s continued airstrikes on civilians in the neighboring country.

The Saudi regime’s attacks on residential areas and infrastructures of Yemen still continue.

Also on Monday, the Yemeni army and popular forces continued their advances in Ta’iz province in Western Yemen, killing and injuring tens of Saudi-backed mercenaries in fierce clashes.

At least 250 militias loyal to former fugitive President Mansour Hadi were killed in fierce clashes with the Yemeni army troops and popular forces.

Moreover, over 400 other Saudi-backed mercenaries were injured in tough battle in Zobab and Kahboub regions of Ta’iz province.
