Trump has found himself in a compromising situation as the relationship between the US and Russia becomes increasingly strained. Before the election Trump hinted at good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin saying that if they got along that would be a good thing. Now, Trump’s pick for National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has resigned due to his unauthorized conversations with Russia and The White House is calling for Russia to return Crimea to Ukraine.

Flynn had contacts within his capacity as a 2 star general with counter Russian generals and administration members. They developed a respectful relationship where they could count on his word and integrity within the sphere of their official government and military dealings. He was a chance at changing the discourse with Russia and setting both our country and Russia on a sound footing forward that might have resulted in a win, win situation for all. This option has been taken off the table for the US and Putin, and I doubt we will be able to offer up anyone who can replace that extraordinary combination.
Flynn a fierce American Patriot, stepped down under an onslaught of criminals in our intelligence departments leaking highly classified information, that not only looked to harm him, but has in fact harmed our national security. Giving our enemy’s a huge leg up on how our spy apparatus works and where it stands today, allowing our enemy’s to change their current methods of undermining our government and put in play harder to detect counter measures.
