Nancy Pelosi Appeals Decision To Remove Offensive Painting From Capitol Hill

Seriously, Democrats. What is wrong with you all??

This is not a rhetorical question. There’s something deeply rooted in anarchy, incivility, and an absolute loathing for law and order within the modern Democrat party.

On Friday, House Minority Leader (and all-around whacko) Nancy Pelosi sided with the hateful anti-law enforcement brigade and attempted to appeal the decision by the Architect of the Capitol to have a despicable painting, depicting cops as pigs, removed from the Capitol complex.

The painting had been displayed in an underground tunnel connecting the Capitol and two House office buildings since June until conservative news outlets took notice of it in December. It came from the district of Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-Mo.) and was hung in the tunnel as part of an annual student art competition between House offices.
Shortly after it was removed in mid-January, Pelosi called for a meeting of the House Office Building Commission to appeal the decision. But her appeal fell short on Friday, given that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) outnumber her on the panel.

The Architect of the Capitol concluded the painting violated the rules of the student art competition and House Office Building Commission prohibiting “subjects of contemporary political controversy or a sensationalistic or gruesome nature.”

Likely, Pelosi knew her appeal would fall short. This was a move for political points, on her part, as she looks to appease the core support of the Democrat party – felons, reprobates, and assorted, fringe activists.

Pelosi then sent a “We shall overcome” letter to Rep. Clay’s office, to make sure the targeted grievance groups all knew she was fighting for them.

She was sure to point out that no expression of art had been removed since 1982, when the competition began. She neglected to mention that none had been so disgusting, or obviously directed at demonizing the men and women who are on the streets, attempting to keep our citizens safe, every day, at a time of heightened tensions between police officers and the public.

“In any event, the after-the-fact enforcement of ‘suitability guidelines’ against a painting that had already been selected for the competition and had been hanging without incident for months is highly suspect,” Pelosi wrote to Clay.

“Thank you for your leadership in protecting the expression of artists. Please convey to your constituent David Pulphus my deepest regrets of the circumstances that led to his painting to be removed. The removal dishonors our traditions and violates the First Amendment,” she continued.

Clay has the disgusting piece of junk hanging on his office wall, which is fine. He (and Pelosi) are signaling their true feelings about law enforcement. Perhaps law enforcement will have an opportunity to extend the same courtesy, some day.
