February 5, 2017. Briefing about the situation on the front-lines in Donbass by deputy head of People’s Militia of DPR Eduard Basurin. For the past 24 hours the situation has stabilized somewhat, but Ukrainian forces keep shelling civilian targets and infrastructure. Besides that, Ukrainian military has blown up the power transmission lines to Gorlovka. The town is without electricity. Ukrainian forces keep amassing reinforcements on the front line in apparent preparation for a full scale assault.

Briefly on what is happening in the Donbas.

1. From the second half of the day the intensity of the shelling again crept up. There have been attacks in Avdeevka area Zaitsev Yasinovataya, Horlivka, Kalinovo, on Svetlodarsk arc. Used 82-120mm mortars, 122-mm and 152-mm guns.

2. Avdeyevka partially restored the supply of heat and light. Avdeevka Coke continues. Just restored power after yesterday Gorlovki undermine Svetlodarsk power lines in the area.

3. social networks rumors with citing unnamed military sources, that during the night possible attack attempts on the part of the APU on Gorlovka direction. Power structures DNR are on high alert.

4. The US official said that the issue of agreements with Russia can be solved, and regardless of what is happening in Avdeevka, that is actually a question of direct talks to get rid of the situation on the fronts of Donbass.

5. The enemy continues active exploration frontline DNR and LC band using UAVs probably try to update the data in the first echelon of the army corps DNR and LNR. Possible enhanced action DRG APU.

6. According to the Ministry of Defense DNI, it strengthens the group opponent near Avdeevka and Volnovakha. In the area of ​​Avdeevka Coke marked complexes “Tochka-U”. Because of the Kharkiv region in the Donbass transferred the main forces of the 92nd Hombre.

The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic tends to stabilization.

However, shellings from the AFU positions won’t stop. The enemy continues firing at the Republic’s localities, subjecting to shellings mainly residential areas.

Over the past day criminal forces of Ukraine fired at the DPR territory 524 times. At that, heavy artillery was applied 25 times, mortars of various calibre – 158 times, IFVs – 40 times, antiaircraft mounts, grenade launchers and small arms – 301 times.

The enemy was launching fire at the following localities along the contact line: Mikhailovka, Zaitsevo, Shirokaya Balka, Yasinovataya, Aleksandrovka, Dokuchayevsk, Nikolayevka, Sakhanka, Leninskoye, Kominternovo and Sosnovskoye.

As a result of the shellings of Yasnoye locality conducted by punishers, a residential house sustained damage on Bogdan Khmelnytsky St. 13, a heating main and power lines were damaged, what caused disruption of electricity supply to the locality.

Our reconnaissance continues registering strengthening of the AFU positions near the contact line:

- Near Nikolayevka (8 km to the contact line) there were detected firing positions of three 152mm howitzers “Msta B”;

- Near Maryinka (1 km to the contact line) there were detected six tanks;

- Near Belaya Kamenka (1 km to the contact line), there were detected another three tanks disguised at a position;

- Near Sartana (5 km to the contact line) on the territory of former warehouses there was detected the arrival of two cargo refrigerators with bodies of the dead fighters of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps The Right Sector.

Having failed ‘hostilities’, and having suffered heavy losses, the Ukrainian leaders started implementation of the planned genocide of Donbass population with even stronger diligence. So, on February 1 and 4, near Ukraine-controlled Svetlodarsk, Ukrofashists blew up two transmission towers through which the locality of Gorlovka had been fed with electric power. The most scandalous fact is that the enemy planted bombs at the approaches to the damaged towers, so that to make rescue and recovery operations’ process impossible.

Besides, the nationalist battalions Donbass and Krivbass blocked railway communication near Artyomovsk locality. This is not an isolated case. Yesterday we stated the same fact of blocking near Kurdyumovka locality.

According to our data, in social networks and other channels Ukrainian war criminals try to obtain from local population for a fee information on our units’ dislocation, resorting to various ways. We have checked all these channels, naturally, having sent to them misinformation. As a result, the promised money wasn’t received. This evidences Ukrainian security officials’ universal lies, as they make promises which are never accomplished; that is from guarantees of withdrawal of forces and means, to termination of shellings.

Thus, being worthless and lacking real opportunities, Ukrainian intelligence proves its inability to handle the situation in the ‘ATO’ zone and by cheating tries to get the population engaged in collecting information. Current Ukrainian power clique and its military toadies have become rotted with lies and lameness long ago!

Moreover, we tell MANY THANKS to Donbass residents for participation in misinforming of Ukrainian intelligence, and for resolute protests against the AFU heavy weapons’ stay in the inhabited area of Avdeyevka locality! Only thanks to you, we will be able to clear Ukraine of traitors and murderers of own people.

I will once again appeal to the Republic’s population to be vigilant, and not to give in to provocation. In case of identification of dubious persons and suspicious objects, immediately report about it to the emergency services of the ministries of MGB, Internal Affairs, Emergency Situations and military commandant’s office for rapid response to take place.

Lugansk Defense: Situation Report, 5.02.2017

The situation in the LPR People’s Militia responsibility zone remains intense.

Over the past day our units’ positions near the localities of Pervomaisk and Kalinovo were subjected to shellings by Ukrainian punishers two times. In total there were launched 43 mortar shells of 82mm calibre. Besides, small arms were used for shelling.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue violating terms of military equipment’s placement near the contact line provided by the Minsk Agreements, and increase its units’ capacity in the ‘ATO’ zone.

So, we established NINE trucks with ammunition accompanied by four armoured personnel carriers to the locality of Zolotoye. 20 well equipped personnel arrived with the column.

Last night to the region of a dairy and commodity farm in Vidrodzhennya there arrived the AFU armoured machinery column comprising three tanks, two self-propelled artillery mounts and five IFVs.

A group of foreign mercenaries arrived to the area of Troitskoye locality for strengthening of the 54th AFU brigade.

The AFU Command intensified reconnaissance along the contact line by means of unmanned aerial vehicles.

It was established that air reconnaissance with application of UAVs was being carried out near Krymskoye locality in the responsibility zone of the 93th AFU brigade. According to our data, the conducted reconnaissance is aimed at advance of a secret subversive group to the grey zone and to the LPR territory for commission of diversions.

We established another facts of noncombat losses in the ranks of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Administrative enquiry of the 54th brigade’s Command held upon three wounded soldiers of the brigade also became known to us. Soldiers got wounded near the locality of Vidrodzhennya as a result of careless handling of a grenade, being in a condition of strong alcoholic intoxication. This incident is being carefully concealed from the higher command.

All the above-mentioned facts demonstrate that criminal Ukrainian military authorities have no intentions to observe the agreements reached in Minsk and bend every effort for further escalation of the conflict in Donbass.

I would like to stress that the LPR People’s Militia units don’t react to provocations and observe the Minsk Agreements.

We continue increasing the level of professionalism and readiness for performance of tasks on protection and security of the Republic’s people, according to the set plan.

This day was carried out a sudden inspection of the warning system, management and communication of the LPR People’s Militia. Systems are operating consistently. The LPR People’s Militia units’ personnel coped with the set objectives.

We are aimed at a peaceful solution to the conflict in Donbass, but in case of the situation’s aggravation, the Republic’s People’s Militia reserves the right to liberate by resolute actions the territories occupied by Kiev bandits.
