**** Update on the Constitutional Convention legislation ****
We are sending out a special thank you to the 2017 House General Assembly that voted down both SJR 7 and SJR 9, legislation which would have applied the State of Arkansas for Article V convention! And thank you to all of the concerned residents who called, emailed, sent text messages, and spoke directly to the legislators to encourage them to VOTE NO on these resolutions. Your support for our Constitution is commendable.
Congratulations, representatives! Many, many people thank you for standing up for our Constitution! Another special thank you goes out to Rep. Jana Della Rosa who did a great job speaking against a convention today on the House floor! Again, we want to remind you: this was NOT about “marriage” or “right to life”; Secure Arkansas opposes these bills and any legislation applying for an Article V convention.
