The dishonest mainstream media has been relentless in their attack on Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Their preferred weapon? Those pesky nefarious Russian connections, of course! By cleverly framing their questions and taking Sessions’ reply out of context, they deceived many in the public by making it appear that Sessions was contradicting himself. They even succeeded in making him recuse himself from any investigations into the ‘Russian connections’ during President Trump’s campaign. But now, Sessions has finally broken his silence on the issue.
In the following video, Right Wing News looks at Jeff Sessions’ dignified response, and questions whether his desire to take the high road may have actually held him back. We go further into the framing of the questions posed to Sessions on the Russians, and how the Democrats have continued to lie regarding the nature of these questions, despite hard evidence of them contradicting themselves. The question is, how long can they continue to distract the public with the non-existent Russian issue?
Jeff Sessions is going public for the first time since his Press Conference over his meetings with the Russian Ambassador. AG Jeff Sessions is defending the response he gave to the Senate during his nomination hearing.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Monday defended his decision not to mention his talks with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. while under oath during his confirmation hearing, a decision that eventually led to his recusal from his department’s probe into Moscow’s interference in the 2016 election, per The Hill.
“My answer was correct,” Sessions wrote.
Jeff Sessions went on to say that he was answering a specific question posed by Sen. Al Franken during his January confirmation hearing about ongoing talks between Trump associates and Russian Ambassadors during the presidential campaign.
“I did not mention communications I had had with the Russian ambassador over the years because the question did not ask about them,” Sessions continued.
The Attorney General was asked whether he had “been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day?”
“No,” Sessions responded.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said he was satisfied with Sessions’ response, and would not call him back to testify about his confirmation hearing.
“I appreciate Attorney General Sessions’ quick action to clear up confusion about his statement and I look forward to confirming the team who can help him carry out the functions of the department,” the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman, Chuck Grassley, said in a statement.
AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED IN:
For anyone who hasn’t seen what the mainstreaam media and the Democrats continue to LIE about, here is the transcript via C-SPAN:
Franken: CNN just published a story alleging that the intelligence community provided documents to the president-elect last week, that included information that “Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.” These documents also allegedly say “there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.” Again, I’m telling you this as it’s coming out, so you know. But if it’s true, it’s obviously extremely serious, and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?
Sessions: Senator Franken, I’m not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I’m unable to comment on it.
Franken: Very well.
Now, watch the video below, and listen to what Senator Coons says about Attorney General Jeff Sessions (beginning just before the 7:00 mark). What do you suppose the problem his problem is? Perhaps English is not his first language, and there’s some kind of communication barrier, or is he just a blatant liar?
Prior to lying about Attorney General Sessions, Senator Coons also talks in circles referring to “transcripts that exist” proving the collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. How are there transcripts “Senator,” if there was no bugging or wiretapping? Which is it? Do tell…
