In our current system of government these things are the most offered but (unfortunately the least important) the most important things to our governments (yes I am western) is our vote for them.. not your well being..that’s well down on the list..As long as they can “carrot” you on election day that’s all that matters…If you are of the 2 major parties then that matters even less as the privileges and pensions (honey pot) apply to them anyway…you do the work they eat the honey..(ask any bee or insect) The system is the same… 99% work 1% reap the rewards…sure it is useful for them to keep as many “workers” alive as possible while to honey’s coming in but once the flowers stop guess who is expendable…this is a basic governmental fact of life..the queens (the 1%) survive…the drones (military) (5%)get looked after… the rest (MOST OF US)are just incidental waste resources…they can breed us up in the numbers required and in doing so “make us feel privileged” . Maybe we are not so advanced after all.. TIME TO WAKE UP PEOPLE…you are being used….. no I mean ABUSED!!! by those who consider themselves to be “superior” by birth or station…. its time a stand was made.
