July 21, 2017: Fierce Clashes Between Army And ISIS

The Syrian Arab Army’s and its Allies Battle-Footage against the so-called Islamic State near the borders of Homs & Deir ez zor Governorate… The so-called Islamic State launched a big attack in the Eastern countryside of Homs Governorate, targeting the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the Hamimah area… Isis began the offensive with their usual VBIED but was unable to reach his intended targeted… Isis stormed the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the Hamimah resulting a fierce battle that would last for nearly Two ours… Despite the intensity of their assault the so-called Islamic State was unable to make any gains, they ended up losing more than 20 combatants during the offensive including a field commander… Video footage of the failed Isis offensive, was released by Hezbollah’s official media wing,and it shows the aftermath of the attack…

The Syrian Arab Army launched another powerful attack in the Eastern suburbs of Damascus striking the defenses of Faylaq Al-Rahman & Free Syrian Army at Jobar and Ayn Tarma… Backed by heavy Airstrikes from their Air force, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard storming and captured the buildings surrounding the Al-Khir Market and Al-Sonbol station… With the recent deployments of 42nd Brigade of the 4th Division to Jobar, the Battle for East Damascus is expected to intensify in the coming days, as they begin operations in the West part of the suburb…

The Lebanese Army,Syrian Arab Army Army and Hezbollah offensive to expel Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham Jihadists from their last positions along the Syrian-Lebanese border is currently in full-awing… Footage captured by Pro-Government media has recently emerged showing Hezbollah heavy Artillery detachments pounding away at Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham positions throughout the rugged Qalamoun landscape… Using the advantage of holding the high ground Hezbollah Artillery crews are pressing their heavy field guns into the direct fire role attempting to flush Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham militants from their forward dugouts… In the last part of the video shown Hezbollah is even employing reconnaissance drones in order to identify targets and conduct battle damage assessments…

 Syria in Last 24 Hours: 15 More Civilians Killed in US-Led Coalition Airstrikes in Eastern Raqqa

15 civilians were killed and several more were wounded in the US-led coalition air raids in Raqqa province in Northeastern Syria.

The US-led coalition warplanes bombed heavily the village of Zour Shamr and Ma’adan region in Eastern Raqqa, killing 15 civilians, including 3 children, and wounding several more.

Medical sources said that a number of wounded people were in critical conditions, raising the possibility for increased toll in the airstrikes.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Damascus

The Syrian army units continued anti-terrorism operations in Eastern Damascus, driving militants out of several regions.

The army forces engaged in fierce clashes with al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Jobar district.

Meantime, the army’s artillery units pounded the terrorists’ positions in Jobar and in Jobar-Zmelka-Ein Tarma triangle.

Also, reports said that the Syrian troops regained control of several residential blocks in the region.

They also destroyed several bases of the terrorists in the Northern parts of Marble factory in Ein Tarma, killing a number of militants.

Also, security sources reported on Thursday that the Lebanese and Syrian armies were on alert to start parallel operations against the ISIL and al-Nusra Front terrorist groups in the bordering heights of Arsal region.

The sources said that the Lebanese army was prepared to start parallel military operations in Arsal region with Syria and closed off all routes to the region.

The army sent a large number of military forces and equipment to Western Qalamoun near the border with Lebanon.

A military source noted that the Syrian fighter jets were targeting the terrorists’ positions in an introduction to the operations, and added that the Syrian soldiers and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance group would start military operations in Syria in the first phase.

Meantime, he added that the Lebanese army soldiers would also safeguard the Eastern borders to prevent the Takfiri terrorists from crossing into the country.

The Syrian air force has in the past few days pounded the terrorists’ positions in Faliteh heights and Wadi al-Khayl region in Arsal region.

Raqqa

The army forces, backed by the air force, continued to advance in the Southern parts of Raqqa province, winning back control of 15 energy fields.

The army soldiers engaged in clashes with the terrorists in Southern Raqqa, and retook control of the town and dam of al-Ramilan as well as 15 oil and gas fields in the Eastern parts of Dabisan and the two 1 and 2 pumping stations.

Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets pounded the ISIL positions in the Southern parts of the village of al-Zamleh near al-Ma’adan city in Southern Raqqa.

Also, a military source reported that a large number of terrorists were killed and 7 of their bomb-laden cars, 5 military vehicles and several of their bases were smashed in the operations.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian ground and air forces in a joint anti-ISIL operation in Deir Ezzur targeted the terrorists’ moves and bases in the city and destroyed several of their positions.

The Syrian army units launched heavy artillery and missile attacks on ISIL hideouts in the western parts of the regions near the Brigade 137, al-Jubaileh, al-Hawiqeh, areas near Panorama and Qeta al-Ta’mineh region, smashing one of the militants’ command centers and several of their military vehicles.

A number of ISIL terrorists were also killed in the operation.

Meantime, the Syrian air force heavily pounded the ISIL moves and positions near Deir Ezzur airbase, al-Tharda region and the districts of al-Arafi, al-Arazi, al-Jabileh, al-Sina’ah and al-Hamidiyeh as well as the villages of al-Janineh and al-Jafreh and the regions near the cemetery, inflicting tens of casualties on the terrorists.

Also, the local sources said that several ISIL commanders, including Abdolrazzaq al-Amir, Ahmed al-Amir, Fahad al-Amir and Samer Khalaf al-Nasser al-Mashhadani, have fled the village of Zabiyan and al-Mayadeen city in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Homs

The army forces advanced in new areas in Eastern Homs and deployed in regions 8km away from ISIL’s last base, the key town of al-Sukhnah.

The army soldiers regained control of the hills near al-Sukhnah-Tawinan road and imposed control over al-Mujbal region, 8km away from al-Sukhnah, after clashes with the ISIL in Eastern Homs.

A military source said that the Syrian army could win back control of several points near al-Heil energy field and establish security in the region after driving terrorists out of the energy field.

Meantime, the Syrian warplanes launched airstrikes on ISIL moves and positions in Northern al-Shandakhiyeh and Um Tuweini in Job al-Jarah, 73km away from Homs city, blowing up several terrorist bases and their military equipment.

Idlib

Intensified clashes between Ahrar al-Sham and Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) in Southern Idlib resulted in the latter’s control over several towns and villages on Thursday.

The clashes erupted in the towns of Saraqib, Sarmada, Khan al-Sobol, Ariha, Salqin, Abli and Kalki, leaving tens of terrorists dead and wounded from both sides.

According to reports, Tahrir al-Sham took control of the villages and towns of Harem, Azmarin, al-Dana, al-Habit and al-Amar and the Sraqib silos.

After the development, Ahrar al-Sham attacked the town of Hazarin, occupied by Tahrir al-Sham on Wednesday, by tanks.

Meantime, during the clashes, the main roads of Idlib province were closed and the civilians in the region were strongly scared.

Dara’a

Hundreds of Russian forces were stationed in Southern Syria to monitor the ceasefire in Dara’a province, media sources said.

Syria’s ARA news quoted local sources as saying that 400 Russian military police forces reached the driving training center near the village of al-Mothabin and the town of al-Sanamin in Northern Dara’a which are controlled by the Syrian army.

The sources also said that the Syrian soldiers set up a temporary military base for the Russian military police forces in the Northern parts of al-Isharah Battalion 110 region and near the town of al-Sanamin.

Reports said that the Russian forces visited several army-controlled areas, including the military ones, as well as the regions near the terrorist-held regions in the towns of Izra’a, Kharbat Qazaleh and Sheikh Meskin.
