The prominent commander of the Tiger Forces Major General Suheil al-Hassan was filmed travelling over the Deir ezzor Governorate putting an END to rumors by opposition activists that he was killed earlier this week… Opposition activists claimed via social media that the Tiger Forces commander was killed during the Syrian Arab Army’s operations in Deir ezzor this week, however the Tiger Forces repeatedly denied these rumors about General Hassan… The video footage of the General Suheil al-Hassan travelling via helicopter over Deir ezzor was released by a Tiger Forces soldier on Friday to dispel the rumors of this “death”… General Hassan has been recently named the commander of the upcoming Albukamal/Abu kamal offensive, which is set to be launched immediately after the provincial capital is liberated…

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army, Resistance Forces Take Control of Key Oil Pumping Station in Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance fighters took control of a strategic oil pumping station in Southwestern part of Deir Ezzur province.

The army and resistance fighters took full control of T2 Oil Pumping Station in Southwestern Deir Ezzur.

The Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists in the battle over T2 Oil Pumping Station.

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Damascus, over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in other provinces across Syria.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army forces, heavily assisted by the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters, restored control over the important T2 Oil Pumping Station in the Southwestern part of Deir Ezzur province, field sources said Friday.

Shortly after capturing the facility, fresh footage was released by Hezbollah’s media wing depicting anti-ISIL operations against ISIL in and around the largely destroyed T2 Oil Pumping Station, located approximately 100 kilometers Southwest of the provincial capital.

In addition to regular skirmishes, the role of sappers is emphasized as ISIL often litters areas with landmines and improvised explosives before retreating into their interior lines.

With the T2 Oil Pumping Station firmly under government control, the army has paved the way for a pincer offensive towards al-Mayadeen region that would either establish a pocket on the provincial border between Homs and Deir Ezzur or prompt a last-minute retreat from ISIL terrorists in the region.

Damascus

Terrorist groups’ defense lines and positions came under heavy attack by the Syrian Army’s missile units in the Eastern countryside of Damascus city on Friday.

The missile units opened heavy fire at the terrorists’ positions and command posts in Ein Terma and Jobar region, specially their gatherings behind Sonbol petrol statin and East of Harmala tunnel, inflicting a number of casualties on the militants.

Reports said earlier on Friday that the army’s artillery units opened heavy fire at terrorists’ positions in Eastern Ghouta, damaging their strongholds and military hardware.

The artillery units shelled heavily terrorists’ defense lines in Ein Terma and Jobar regions in Eastern Ghouta, damaging militants’ equipment.

Aleppo

The Syrian Army troops launched an operation in Northeastern Hama, targeting terrorist-held territories in a region near the highway that connects the town of al-Salamiyah to Aleppo province.

The army soldiers, led by the Qalamoun Shield forces of the 3rd Division, stormed a number of villages North of Sheikh Hilal, scoring a big advance in a bid to secure the government’s primary supply route to Aleppo province.

According to a military source in Hama, the army men, who liberated the villages of Rasm Sawan, Al-Rahraha, and Rasm al-Ahmar in the Sheikh Hilal region, are now operating to clear the remaining villages occupied by the terrorists in Northeastern Hama.

Hama

Militant-affiliated websites reported on Friday that four terrorists of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) were killed and several more were wounded in a booby-trapped bomb explosion in Northern Hama.

The websites reported that four members of FSA-affiliated terrorist groups were killed and several more were wounded in a booby-trapped blast on a road connecting the towns of Zamrin and Um al-Owsaj in Northern Hama.

Earlier reports said that the army’s artillery and missile units and choppers pounded terrorists’ positions in Northern and Eastern Hama, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The artillery and missile units targeted terrorists’ strongholds in al-Latamina and Kafr Zita regions in Northern Hama, destroying militants’ positions and equipment.

In the meantime, the army combat helicopters targeted the defense lines of Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in al-Rahjan region in Eastern Hama.

Idlib

The Syrian Army High Command announced that the pro-government forces are getting ready to launch a large-scale offensive to retake Idlib province from terrorist groups.

According to the statement released by the military command, General Mohammad Khaddour will be leading the operation to retake the Abu al-Dhohour Airport in Eastern Idlib.

General Khaddour will also lead the operations to recapture the town of Abu Dali in Northern Hama, the statement added.

General Khaddour is considered as one of the most experienced officers in the Syrian Army; he is also the commander of the elite 3rd Legion.

A military source said that the Idlib operation will not likely begin for the next few weeks, as the army still needs to secure their main supply route to Aleppo province.
