Don’t Look Now, but There’s a Sixth Woman Accusing Roy Moore of Misconduct

Roy Moore has yet to adequately explain away the accusations already leveled against him, other than to send out his legal representation to distract with bizarre interviews on cable news outlets.

Now, there is another accuser, as reported over at AL.com.

Tina Johnson, of Gadsden, has come forward and tells that her encounter with Moore happened in his law office in 1991, where she and her mother met to handle a child custody case.

According to Johnson, Moore began flirting with her from the moment she came into his office.

“He kept commenting on my looks, telling me how pretty I was, how nice I looked,” recalled Johnson. “He was saying that my eyes were beautiful.”

It made her uncomfortable. “I was thinking, can we hurry up and get out of here?”

Here’s a new twist, that separates Johnson’s claims from the other five women: Johnson was 28 years old, at the time.

She was in a bad marriage, bound for divorce, unemployed, with 3 small children. Her 12-year old son had been living with her mother, so she was there to sign over custody. Moore was handling the custody petition.

At one point during the meeting, she said, Moore came around the desk and sat on the front of it, just inches from her. He was so close, she said, she could smell his breath.

According to Johnson, he asked questions about her young daughters, including what color eyes they had and if they were as pretty as she was. She said that made her feel uncomfortable, too.

Up until that point, it could have been taken as just an overly-friendly lawyer, trying to put a client at ease.

If it was left at that, it probably wouldn’t have been brought up or thought of, again.

But it didn’t stay at just that.

Once the papers were signed, she and her mother got up to leave. After her mother walked through the door first, she said, Moore came up behind her.

It was at that point, she recalled, he grabbed her buttocks.

“He didn’t pinch it; he grabbed it,” said Johnson. She was so surprised she didn’t say anything. She didn’t tell her mother.

Johnson said it was years later that she finally told her sister about that day.

And no, I don’t get why she didn’t tell her mother or anybody else immediately. I would have.

I would have because she would have required an explanation for why I was trying to beat the brakes off of a lawyer, in the doorway of his office.

It was Johnson who reached out to AL.com with her story this week, and they confirmed the court paperwork, detailing the custody agreement.

Moore was actually married at the time, so if there’s any validity to this latest accusation, even though she wasn’t a child, it was still pretty sleazy.
